Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Create, send and track e-signature documents with their files and recipients in CloudSign.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs in the cloud
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Docs, sheets & office work

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 9 things (tools) cloudsign_list_documents, cloudsign_get_document, cloudsign_list_cabinets, cloudsign_create_document …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cloudsign": {
      "url": "https://cloudsign.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "cloudsign": {

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 8, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • cloudsign_list_documents

    List the team's documents with their status: 0 draft, 1 waiting for recipients, 2 concluded, 3 cancelled or declined, 4 template. Paged, 100 per page. GET /documents.

  • cloudsign_get_document

    Get one document with its status, files and participants. GET /documents/{documentID}.

  • cloudsign_list_cabinets

    List the cabinets (folders) of the team. GET /cabinets.

  • cloudsign_create_document

    Create a new draft document. Then add files and participants, and send it with cloudsign_send_document. POST /documents.

  • cloudsign_update_document

    Change the title, note, message or transfer setting of a document. PUT /documents/{documentID}.

  • cloudsign_add_participant

    Add a recipient to a document. Wait 2-10 seconds before the next call on the same document. POST /documents/{documentID}/participants.

  • cloudsign_add_file

    Upload a file (usually PDF) to a document. Send the file bytes base64-encoded in content_base64, up to about 10 MB. Wait 2-10 seconds before the next call on the same document. POST /documents/{documentID}/files.

  • cloudsign_send_document

    Send a draft document to its recipients, or send a reminder for a document that was already sent. Recipients get an email at once, and this cannot be undone. POST /documents/{documentID}.

  • cloudsign_delete_draft

    Delete a draft document. Only drafts can be deleted; sent documents cannot. DELETE /documents/{documentID}.

Common questions

Is CloudSign MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.1) reached the registry today.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

CloudSign MCP by usefulapi

Use your CloudSign account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Create, send and track e-signature documents, and read their status and files. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://cloudsign.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://cloudsign.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http cloudsign https://cloudsign.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "cloudsign": { "url": "https://cloudsign.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your CloudSign credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/cloudsign/

On first connect you provide a CloudSign Web API client ID (CloudSign Web API settings; your team admin issues it). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
