Spree Commerce: open-source B2B and marketplace ecommerce
Open-source B2B and marketplace ecommerce; new stores include an MCP server for AI agents.
Description from the maker (original English)
Extracts every config option read in the code, with its default, into one inventory.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Compared with every active server in this category in the registry. Stars count only when the publisher owns the repo.
It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).
The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.0) reached the registry 6 days ago.

Every config option in the code, with its default, in one document. You pass configdoc the source files as text, and it scans them for direct environment reads — the config surface most code bases actually use — and returns a single inventory:
process.env.NAME and import.meta.env.NAME are extracted, where NAME follows the uppercase env convention (A-Z_*). Lowercase or mixed-case names are not matched, and destructured reads (const { X } = process.env) and non-env config objects are out of scope by design.?? or || and a literal, that literal is the read's default: a string literal contributes the raw text between its quotes (escapes are not interpreted), a number literal contributes itself as written. A fallback that is an identifier, a call, or anything else captures no default.null when no read does — plus the total number of reads of that name across all files and the distinct files it is read in, sorted ascending.Input is validated strictly: a missing or empty file set, a file missing path or content, an empty, non-string, or duplicate path, or a non-string content is an error naming the offending path (for example files[0].content must be a string), and no partial inventory is produced. The scan is pure and local: no network, no configuration, no files read beyond the input you pass in.
npx @reneturcios/configdoc extract --input args.json
npx @reneturcios/configdoc --version
args.json contains the full arguments object:
{
"files": [ { "path": "src/config.ts", "content": "const port = process.env.PORT ?? 8080;\nconst host = process.env.HOST ?? \"localhost\";" }, { "path": "web/env.ts", "content": "export const api = import.meta.env.API_URL;" } ] }
The inventory is printed as JSON:
{
"options": [ { "name": "API_URL", "default": null, "reads": 1, "files": ["web/env.ts"] }, { "name": "HOST", "default": "localhost", "reads": 1, "files": ["src/config.ts"] }, { "name": "PORT", "default": "8080", "reads": 1, "files": ["src/config.ts"] } ], "total_options": 3, "files_scanned": 2 }
Exit codes: 0 on success, 1 on a runtime error (including an unreadable or invalid input file, or invalid input), 2 on a usage error.
