Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Collect reviewed human answers through hosted handoffs, plus local templates and config validation.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 11 things (tools) talkform.list_templates, talkform.get_template, talkform.prepare_form, talkform.register_agent …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

  • Runs in the cloudNothing to install; it connects over the internet
  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 7, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • talkform.list_templates

Lists the public conversational-form templates available for review.

  • talkform.get_template

Returns one public template as a structured, reviewable conversational form draft.

  • talkform.prepare_form

Turns interview questions into a validated, shareable form draft. Each promptTitle is the respondent-facing question; fromName, purpose and branding identify the originating product. Optional theme colors use hex values. Returns a draft without storing or publishing it.

  • talkform.register_agent

Creates a persistent machine-owned project and returns its API key secret once. No email, sign-in, or human identity is created. A UUIDv4 idempotency key identifies registration; retries never replay the secret. Machine projects receive 10 hosted handoffs per day. Voice is availa

  • talkform.create_handoff

Stores a validated voice interview or text interview and returns a private respondent link plus shareText. config.fields[].promptTitle supplies each question; config.branding.fromName and branding.purpose identify the originating product. Omitted mode selects voice; text mode is

  • talkform.get_handoff

Checks a hosted handoff owned by the authorized project or OAuth account. Requires handoffs:read permission.

  • talkform.get_result

Returns completed structured answers for an authorized project or OAuth account with handoffs:read permission. Pending results return result_pending. Results expire 7 days after submission. No transcript is returned.

  • talkform.delete_handoff

Permanently deletes stored configuration and answers for an authorized project or OAuth account. Requires user confirmation and handoffs:delete permission.

  • talkform.configure_webhook

Configures one HTTPS endpoint for completed handoffs in an authorized project. Replaces any active endpoint and returns the signing secret once. Requires handoffs:write permission. Optional projectId selects an owned OAuth account project.

  • talkform.get_webhook

Returns active webhook metadata and recent delivery metadata for an authorized project. Signing secrets are never returned. Requires handoffs:read permission. Optional projectId selects an owned OAuth account project.

  • talkform.delete_webhook

Disables an authorized project's active webhook and cancels pending deliveries. Requires handoffs:write permission. Optional projectId selects an owned OAuth account project.

Common questions

Is Talkform safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

Either way works: install it on your computer or connect to the cloud version.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.1) reached the registry 12 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Talkform

Turn any form into a live audio interview.

Talkform is a config-driven audio intake utility. Products define the fields they need, Talkform asks for them conversationally, binds structured values directly into the form, and exports JSON-ready session results.

Workspace

  • apps/web: hosted app for talkform.ai
  • packages/core: config schema, realtime prompt/tool generation, session/result helpers
  • packages/react: embeddable React widget
  • packages/http: process-local transient session and HTTP helpers
  • packages/cli: agent-friendly CLI
  • packages/mcp: local MCP schema, template, and config-validation server
  • docs: markdown documentation rendered in the web app

Core commands

pnpm install

pnpm dev pnpm build pnpm typecheck

Environment

  • OPENAI_API_KEY
  • OPENAI_REALTIME_MODEL default gpt-realtime-2.1
  • OPENAI_REALTIME_VOICE default marin
  • TALKFORM_ENABLE_IMPORT_AI_REFINEMENT optional; only true enables paid AI copy refinement after deterministic import
  • NEXT_PUBLIC_AUDIOFORM_VENDOR
  • NEXT_PUBLIC_AUDIOFORM_VENDOR_URL

Transient session APIs and public Realtime client-secret issuance are disabled in hosted production by default. A production deployment needs a durable session store, a distributed rate limiter, and server authentication before those endpoints should be enabled. The current in-memory store and quotas are development/reference implementations; they do not provide cross-instance durability or enforcement.

Machine clients use two matching environment variables:

  • TALKFORM_API_TOKEN: server-only bearer token accepted by the web API
  • AUDIOFORM_API_TOKEN: client-side token read by the Talkform CLI

For a controlled deployment, TALKFORM_ENABLE_IN_MEMORY_SESSIONS=true and TALKFORM_ENABLE_PUBLIC_REALTIME=true opt into the reference endpoints. Do not use these flags to represent the current process-local implementations as production-ready infrastructure.
