Browser Use
Lets AI do web tasks for you, such as filling forms, searching and extracting data, in the maker’s cloud browsers or on your computer.
Description from the maker (original English)
Stealthy browser automation, testing, and web-scraping via CDP Mode.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Compared with every active server in this category in the registry. Stars count only when the publisher owns the repo.
It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).
The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (4.57.1) reached the registry 2 days ago.
Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Python (uv) on your computer.

⚙️ High-level architecture and special modes:
🐙 CDP Mode bypasses bot-detection with Chromium-based browsers. 🎭 Stealthy Playwright Mode extends CDP Mode's stealth to Playwright.
pip install seleniumbase for the main framework. pip install playwright for the optional integration.
🧪 End-to-End Testing examples are located in ./examples/.
🐙 Stealthy CDP Mode examples are located in ./examples/cdp_mode/.
🎭 Stealthy Playwright examples are located in ./examples/cdp_mode/playwright/.
[!NOTE]
Examples that start with
testrun with `pytest`.
Other examples run directly with raw `python`.
📝 This example uses seleniumbase sb_cdp (*Pure CDP Mode*): (It shows some basic methods and bypasses a Cloudflare Turnstile)
from seleniumbase import sb_cdp
sb = sb_cdp.Chrome() # Launches a stealth browser sb.goto("https://www.planetminecraft.com/account") sb.type('[name="email"]', "Test123") sb.type('[name="password"]', "Pass") sb.click("input#autologin") # Unchecks a checkbox sb.solve_captcha() # (as backup if not automatic) sb.assert_element('input[name="login"]') sb.assert_element_not_visible("input[disabled]") sb.sleep(1) # (only to slow down the live demo) sb.quit() # (otherwise quits automatically at end)
(Note that the click action only unchecked the "Stay signed in" checkbox.)
✅ sb.solve_captcha() handles CAPTCHAs that aren't bypassed automatically. (If called when there's no CAPTCHA on the page, then nothing happens / no-op.)
ℹ️ sb.assert_* methods wait up to 7 seconds for the expected condition. (Raises an exception if the condition isn't met in time.)
📝 This script searches Hacker News via Algolia. Then prints items and saves to PDF:
from seleniumbase import sb_cdp
sb = sb_cdp.Chrome(fast=True) sb.goto("https://hn.algolia.com/?query=seleniumbase") elements = sb.find_elements("div.Story_title > a") for element in elements: print("--> " + element.text) sb.save_as_pdf("sb_news.pdf", folder="./downloaded_files/") print("*** PDF saved to: ./downloaded_files/sb_news.pdf")
python raw_cdp_yc_news.py
📝 This script bypasses Cloudflare's challenge page with UC + CDP Mode:
from seleniumbase import SB
with SB(uc=True, test=True, locale="en") as sb: sb.activate_cdp_mode() sb.goto("https://gitlab.com/users/sign_in") sb.sleep(2) sb.solve_captcha() sb.highlight('h1:contains("GitLab")') sb.highlight('button:contains("Sign in")')
python raw_gitlab.py
🌐 CLI Options for Supported Chromium Browsers
💡 You can set which Chromium browser to use via command-line parameters:
python SCRIPT.py --chromium # Use the unbranded Chromium browser
python SCRIPT.py --cft # Use Chrome-for-testing python SCRIPT.py --edge # Use Microsoft Edge python SCRIPT.py --brave # Use Brave browser
Google Chrome is the default browser. Only unbranded Chromium and Chrome-for-Testing get downloaded automatically if not already present on the system.
The Chromium browser can also be set via method args, eg: cft=True, use_chromium=True, browser="edge", browser="brave", etc. Eg:
sb = sb_cdp.Chrome(use_Only the beginning is shown; read the rest in the repo
