Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read vehicles, visits and occupancy; edit vehicle records and tags, and add comments in ParkPow.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 11 things (tools) parkpow_list_vehicles, parkpow_list_visits, parkpow_list_visits_large, parkpow_get_visit …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http parkpow https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "parkpow": {
      "url": "https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "parkpow": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 7, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • parkpow_list_vehicles

    List vehicles in the account with make, model, colour, type, payment status and tags. Plate match is case-insensitive and exact unless you use license_plate_contains. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/vehicles/.

  • parkpow_list_visits

    List vehicle visits (camera sightings with plate, times and score), filterable by period, plate, site and vehicle details. Use start and end to keep the period small: pages past 100 fail, so use parkpow_list_visits_large for big exports. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/visit-list/.

  • parkpow_list_visits_large

    List vehicle visits with cursor pagination, for large exports where parkpow_list_visits stops at page 100. Pass the cursor from the previous reply. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/visit-list-large/.

  • parkpow_get_visit

    Get one visit by id: vehicle, start and end cameras, times, duration, score and plate images. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/visit/{id}/.

  • parkpow_list_sites

    List parking lots (sites) with their cameras, number of parking spaces, current occupancy and occupancy percentage. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/parking-list/.

  • parkpow_get_site_occupancy

    Get the live parking occupancy of one site: total spaces, free spaces and current occupancy. Read-only, though ParkPow takes it as a POST. ParkPow API: POST /api/v1/parking-occupancy/.

  • parkpow_list_vehicle_tags

    List the vehicle tags defined in the account (ids and names). ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/vehicle-tags/.

  • parkpow_list_vehicle_comments

    List comments on vehicles, optionally for one vehicle id. ParkPow API: GET /api/v1/vehicle-comments/.

  • parkpow_create_vehicle

    Create a vehicle, or update the existing vehicle that ParkPow matches to this plate, with the fields you send. Use it to add tenant, employee or permit data (field1 to field6 are free-text custom fields). ParkPow API: POST /api/v1/create-vehicle/.

  • parkpow_set_vehicle_tag

    Set a tag on a vehicle (checked = true) or clear it (checked = false). Repeating the same call gives the same result. Get ids from parkpow_list_vehicles and parkpow_list_vehicle_tags. ParkPow API: POST /api/v1/edit-tags/.

  • parkpow_add_vehicle_comment

    Add a comment to a vehicle. Each call adds a new comment, so repeating it adds a duplicate. ParkPow API: POST /api/v1/vehicle-comments/.

Common questions

Is ParkPow MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.1) reached the registry today.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

ParkPow MCP by usefulapi

Use your ParkPow account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read vehicles, camera visits and parking occupancy, edit vehicle records and tags, and add comments. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http parkpow https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "parkpow": { "url": "https://parkpow.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your ParkPow credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/parkpow/

On first connect you provide a ParkPow API token (from the ParkPow API token page, app.parkpow.com/accounts/token/). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
