Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read Simple Analytics stats: pageviews, visitors, pages, referrers, events and data exports.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Marketing & social media

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 6 things (tools) simpleanalytics_list_websites, simpleanalytics_get_stats, simpleanalytics_get_timeseries, simpleanalytics_get_breakdown …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • simpleanalytics_list_websites

List the websites of the Simple Analytics account (hostnames to use in the other tools). Good first call. Admin API: GET /api/websites.

  • simpleanalytics_get_stats

Aggregated traffic for one website and date range: total pageviews, unique visitors and the median seconds on page. Optional filters narrow it to a page, country, referrer, UTM value, browser, OS, device or metadata value. Stats API: GET / .json.

  • simpleanalytics_get_timeseries

Pageviews and visitors per hour, day, week, month or year for one website and date range (time series for charts and trends). Optional filters as in simpleanalytics_get_stats. Stats API: GET / .json?fields=histogram.

  • simpleanalytics_get_breakdown

Top values of one dimension for one website and date range, each with pageviews and visitors: pages, countries, referrers, UTM sources/mediums/campaigns/contents/terms, browsers, operating systems or device types. Optional filters as in simpleanalytics_get_stats. Stats API: GET /

  • simpleanalytics_get_events

How often custom events happened on one website in a date range. Pass event names, or leave names out for all events (up to 1000). Stats API: GET / .json?events=...

  • simpleanalytics_export_datapoints

Raw, unsampled page views or events of one website for a date range, as rows with only the fields asked for. The reply is capped at max_rows (default 100, max 1000) rows and 2 MB; "truncated" says more exist, so narrow the range. Rows are cut to about 40 000 characters of JSON. D

Common questions

Is Simple Analytics MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.23.2) reached the registry today.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Simple Analytics MCP by usefulapi

Use Simple Analytics from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — pageviews, visitors, pages, referrers, countries, events and data exports. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own Simple Analytics credentials.

Live endpoint: https://simple-analytics.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/simple-analytics

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://simple-analytics.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http simple-analytics https://simple-analytics.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "simple-analytics": { "url": "https://simple-analytics.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Simple Analytics credentials.
