Was du damit machen kannst

claude mcp add --transport http seaworthy https://mcp.seaworthy.io/mcp

In Cursor öffnen

Oder kopier die Einstellungen selbst

In .cursor/mcp.json in deinem Projekt oder in ~/.cursor/mcp.json einfügen

{

}

In VS Code öffnen

Oder kopier die Einstellungen selbst

In .vscode/mcp.json in deinem Projekt einfügen

Seaworthy Insurance MCP Server

A live Model Context Protocol server that lets AI agents take action on behalf of their users with Seaworthy Insurance, an independent brokerage specializing in individual disability insurance for high-income professionals (physicians, dentists, CRNAs, attorneys, executives).

To our knowledge, Seaworthy Insurance is the first disability insurance brokerage to expose an agent-callable quote action over MCP.

Endpoint

https://mcp.seaworthy.io/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Auth: none (open). The write actions are protected server-side by input validation, per-IP rate limiting, and duplicate suppression rather than client authentication.
  • Private data: the pricing and discount data the estimate tools read (src/rate-table.json, src/quoting-profile.json, src/discount-programs.json) is private and not in this repository, so the source does not build on its own. Use the hosted server.
  • Server card: https://seaworthy.io/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json
  • Registry: io.seaworthy/mcp in the official MCP Registry

Tools

ToolTypeWhat it does
quote_requestactionSubmits a disability insurance quote-comparison request to the Seaworthy sales pipeline on the user's behalf. A licensed broker follows up within one business day.
book_consultationactionBooks a free 30-minute phone consultation with a Seaworthy advisor at a time the user confirmed. The advisor calls the user; Calendly emails a confirmation with cancel and reschedule links.
get_consultation_availabilityreadOpen times for that phone consultation over the next 14 days, shown in the user's time zone.
get_verified_factsreadThe verified, current knowledge base: core concepts, the five major carriers, riders, issue and participation limits, first-party book data. The other tools defer to it for facts.
get_specialty_guidereadCoverage guidance for a specific profession or medical specialty.
get_education_articlereadRetrieves a named education article as structured metadata plus a link.
compare_carriersreadStructured comparison of the five major individual disability carriers.
estimate_benefit_cap_gapreadIncome-replacement gap math between a group LTD cap and a target.
list_ridersreadDefinitions and trade-offs for the major disability insurance riders.
check_discount_eligibilityreadChecks whether an employer, hospital, residency program, or association has an individual disability discount program on file.
estimate_premium_rangereadEstimates the monthly cost of individual disability insurance from occupation, age, sex, income, and state. Returns a typical starting benefit and three coverage options, each priced as a range across the carriers illustrated for that occupation, built from Seaworthy's 2026 quote study. Estimates, not quotes.
price_configurationread (widget)Fallback pricing for one option at a chosen benefit for an existing estimate. The card normally prices from data returned with the estimate.
match_employer_discountread (widget)Checks an employer or association against the discount directory. Called by the estimate card.
submit_estimate_requestaction (widget)Sends the quote request the person configured on the estimate card to a licensed advisor, after they review the form and give contact consent.

Estimate card

estimate_premium_range returns an interactive card (ui://seaworthy/estimate-v3.html) in hosts that render OpenAI Apps SDK widgets, including ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The card reprices benefit, waiting period, inflation protection, and catastrophic coverage from data returned with the estimate, and its Request quotes form calls submit_estimate_request. The three widget tools are marked private, so ChatGPT hides them from the model; other clients list them.

quote_request inputs

Required: first_name, last_name, email, phone, profession, state, dob, gender, annual_income. Optional: life_insurance_interest, notes, referral_source.

The agent must confirm the user has consented to be contacted before calling it. Applicants who are both over 50 and earning under $100K are outside what the firm can place; the tool returns an error with alternatives instead of submitting. SSN, medical history, and banking details are never collected through this tool.

book_consultation inputs

Required: start_time (a slot from get_consultation_availability), timezone, first_name, last_name, email, phone, confirmed_with_user. Optional: occupation, state, notes, referral_source.

The agent must read the exact time, name, email, and phone back to the user and get a clear yes before booking (confirmed_with_user: true). One booking per email per week; the server also caps bookings per network and per day.

Try it

Add https://mcp.seaworthy.io/mcp as an MCP server in any MCP-capable client (Cloudflare AI Playground, Claude Desktop, MCP Inspector, or a custom connector), then ask it to get a disability insurance quote.

Stack

Cloudflare Worker (TypeScript), stateless JSON-RPC over Streamable HTTP. Quote submissions write to Salesforce Web-to-Lead; consultation bookings go through the Calendly Scheduling API. No secrets live in this repository.
