Description from the maker (original English)
Bridge a remote bot to a local Bot Bridge CC Helper: dispatch coding tasks and read progress.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.
Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.
CC_HELPER_HOMEWhich app do you use?
Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.
Download the maker’s .mcpb file
The link goes to the maker’s own file; we do not host or repackage it. Open the file and Claude Desktop installs it.
Run this in your terminal
Fill in the empty values before running it.
Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).
The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.0) reached the registry 27 days ago.

An MCP stdio server that bridges a remote bot (any MCP client) to a local Bot Bridge CC Helper running on Windows. You dispatch a coding task into the Helper's inbox and read progress and results back out.
Independent product. This is not an Anthropic product and is not
affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. It talks to a local
Bot Bridge CC Helper install that you run yourself.
This package is a file bridge. It is useful only together with a local Bot Bridge CC Helper install — the desktop tray/daemon that actually owns the job folders and runs your local coding agent. Without that install every tool still answers, but reports that nothing is installed.
inbox\ — one JSON file per queued jobrunning\ — per-job progress while a job runsdone\ — final state per jobcontrol\ — cancellation commandsThe Helper folder defaults to %USERPROFILE%\cc-helper and can be pointed elsewhere with the CC_HELPER_HOME environment variable.
npm install -g botbridge-cc-helper-mcp
Or run it without installing:
npx -y botbridge-cc-helper-mcp
The server speaks MCP over stdio, so your MCP client launches it:
{
"mcpServers": { "cc-helper": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "botbridge-cc-helper-mcp"], "env": { "CC_HELPER_HOME": "C:\\Users\\you\\cc-helper" } } } }
CC_HELPER_HOME is optional; omit it to use %USERPROFILE%\cc-helper.
Check the install from a terminal:
npx -y botbridge-cc-helper-mcp --selftest
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
cc_helper_status | Report whether a local Helper install is present and where its folders are. |
cc_helper_dispatch | Queue a job ({ id, title, prompt }) into inbox\ for the local Helper to pick up. |
cc_helper_task_status | Read one job's state from running\ / done\. |
cc_helper_list_tasks | List queued, running, and finished jobs. |
cc_helper_stop | Write a stop control command to cancel a running job. |
| Variable | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
CC_HELPER_HOME | %USERPROFILE%\cc-helper on Windows, ~/cc-helper elsewhere | Folder the bridge reads and writes job files in. |
The bridge ships byte-identical inside the Bot Bridge CC Helper VS Code extension as scripts/cc-helper-mcp.js, which is the source of truth. npm run sync refreshes bin/botbridge-cc-helper-mcp.js from it; prepack fails the build if the two ever drift apart.
