Common questions

Is fipeX MCP safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.0) reached the registry 4 months ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

curl -L -o fipex-prices-latest-merged.parquet \ https://github.com/fipex-labs/dataset/releases/latest/download/fipex-prices-latest-merged.parquet

Ou via gh CLI

gh release download --pattern '*.parquet' -R fipex-labs/dataset

2. Hugging Face Datasets

3. Dumps mensais individuais (no git)

tipo_veiculostringCategoria do veículo (carro, moto, caminhão)
codigo_fipestringCódigo único do veículo na FIPE
nome_modelostringNome do modelo (ex: Palio 1.0, Corolla XEi)
nome_marcastringFabricante do veículo (ex: Fiat, Toyota)
nome_combustivelstringTipo de combustível (Gasolina, Diesel, Flex, etc)
sigla_combustivelstringSigla do combustível (g, e, d, l, f, h, n)
ano_modelointAno de fabricação do modelo
zero_kmboolSe o veículo é zero quilômetro (true/false)
valor_centavosintValor do veículo em centavos (evita erros de ponto flutuante)
valor_formatadostringValor do veículo em Reais (R$) para facilidade de leitura
mes_referenciaintMês de referência da tabela FIPE (1-12)
ano_referenciaintAno de referência da tabela FIPE

Exemplos de Uso

Python - Polars
import polars as pl

Carregar CSV (note o separador tab)

df = pl.read_csv("fipex-prices-latest-merged.csv", separator="\t")

Carregar Parquet (mais rápido!)

df = pl.read_parquet("fipex-prices-latest-merged.parquet")

Estatísticas básicas

print(f"Total de registros: {df.height:,}") print(f"Total de marcas: {df['nome_marca'].n_unique():,}")

Top 10 marcas

print(df.group_by("nome_marca").len().sort("len", descending=True).head(10))

SQL - DuckDB
-- Carregar Parquet diretamente

SELECT nome_marca, COUNT(*) as total FROM 'fipex-prices-latest-merged.parquet' GROUP BY nome_marca ORDER BY total DESC LIMIT 10;

Mais consultas prontas em examples/duckdb.sql.
