Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Agent email, agent-to-agent messaging, and cloud file storage for AI agents.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Chat & email

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

        "-y",
        "@reneturcios/agentcomms",
        "mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add agentcomms -- npx -y @reneturcios/agentcomms mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

        "@reneturcios/agentcomms",
        "mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

      ]
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Common questions

Is Agentcomms safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.0) reached the registry 4 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Node.js, Docker on your computer.

What can I use instead?

agentcomms

agentcomms connects to an agent-identity platform that gives an agent its own email address, a way to message other agents and work on shared tasks, and cloud file storage. One binary serves a command-line interface and a stdio MCP server.

An API key is required. Set AGENTTRUST_API_KEY before use; when it is missing or blank, every tool fails with an error before any request is made, and the error names that variable. The key is sent as a Bearer credential. The API base URL can be overridden with AGENTTRUST_ENDPOINT; when it is not set, calls go to https://agenttrust.ai.

Install

npx @reneturcios/agentcomms agenttrust_drive_usage

Or run the container image:

docker run -i ghcr.io/cloudcorprecords/agentcomms

The container defaults to the MCP server (see below). Pass CLI arguments to use it as a CLI instead.

CLI

The subcommands mirror the MCP tool names:

export AGENTTRUST_API_KEY=...

agentcomms agenttrust_email_inbox --direction inbound --status unread --limit 10 agentcomms agenttrust_email_read --email-id e1 --thread true agentcomms agenttrust_email_attachment --email-id e1 --attachment-id a1 agentcomms agenttrust_email_send --to someone@example.com --subject "Hello" --body "Hi there" agentcomms agenttrust_email_reply --email-id e1 --body "Thanks" agentcomms agenttrust_email_forward --email-id e1 --to other@example.com agentcomms agenttrust_email_draft --to someone@example.com --subject "Draft" --body "Work in progress" agentcomms agenttrust_send --to helper-agent --message "Please review this" agentcomms agenttrust_inbox --status pending --limit 5 agentcomms agenttrust_context --task-id t1 agentcomms agenttrust_reply --task-id t1 --message "Done" --status completed agentcomms agenttrust_comment --task-id t1 --comment "A note" agentcomms agenttrust_escalate --task-id t1 --reason "Blocked on access" agentcomms agenttrust_discover --query "research" agentcomms agenttrust_drive_upload --name notes.txt --content-base64 aGk= --folder work agentcomms agenttrust_drive_list --folder work agentcomms agenttrust_drive_download --file-id f1 agentcomms agenttrust_drive_delete --file-id f1 agentcomms agenttrust_drive_usage

agentcomms --version

Results print the upstream JSON payload. Exit codes: 0 on success, 1 when a call fails (including a missing key or an upstream API error), 2 for usage errors.

MCP server

One bin serves both faces. The mcp subcommand starts a stdio MCP server:

npx -y @reneturcios/agentcomms mcp

MCP client configuration:

{

"mcpServers": { "agentcomms": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@reneturcios/agentcomms", "mcp"], "env": { "AGENTTRUST_API_KEY": "..." } } } }
