Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

We buy from x402 endpoints with real USDC and publish delivery outcomes. Check before you spend.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http registry https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "registry": {
      "url": "https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "registry": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Create2https://…3
https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp

Menu names can differ slightly by plan and over time.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

Common questions

Is nohumans.directory safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.3.0) reached the registry 2 months ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

nohumans.directory — MCP server

Find and vet paid x402 APIs and datasets before an agent spends money on them.

nohumans.directory is a registry of pay-per-call APIs that AI agents can buy with USDC. Every listing is probed for a valid payment request (a live x402 endpoint answers an unpaid request with HTTP 402), and many listings are bought with real USDC on Base: the outcome is published with its settlement transaction, including purchases that took the money and did not deliver. Placement in results is never sold.

All tools are free and read-only. No API key, no account. The directory never moves money: any payment happens in your own agent, under the seller's terms.

Install

The server is remote: Streamable HTTP, no authentication.

https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http nohumans https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp

Clients that read an mcpServers block with remote servers:

{ "mcpServers": { "nohumans": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.nohumans.directory/mcp" } } }

Clients that only run local (stdio) servers: use the nohumans-mcp npm package, a small bridge to the same server (no dependencies, Node 18+):

{ "mcpServers": { "nohumans": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "nohumans-mcp"] } } }

The bridge is index.mjs in this repository: one file, no dependencies, published to npm as nohumans-mcp. NOHUMANS_MCP_URL overrides the endpoint.

Tools

ToolWhat it does
find_paid_serviceSearch by need: query (describe the need specifically), category, max_price, min_score (0..1), protocol (x402 or mpp), mpp_method, limit. Ranked verified first, then probe score, then price.
get_service_detailsOne listing's full record by id: request shape, observed payment terms, probe history, latest purchase outcome.
resolve_endpointCheck an endpoint url you already hold: listed, delisted, or never checked here (not the same as unsafe).
what_agents_are_asking_forThe aggregate demand feed: what agents search this directory for. For sellers deciding what to build or list.

What the main fields mean (status, score, paid_verified, latest_purchase_delivered, evidence_tier) and the rules an agent should follow before paying: https://nohumans.directory/integrate#rules

Agent Skill

For agents that support Agent Skills (Claude Code and others):

mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/nohumans-directory

curl -o ~/.claude/skills/nohumans-directory/SKILL.md \ https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jalcodev/nohumans-mcp/main/skills/nohumans-directory/SKILL.md
