Description from the maker (original English)
Search and compare AI tools, build AI workflows, find tools that state EU hosting. No API key.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

search_ai_toolsSearch GateOnAI's database of 3,316 listed AI tools. Find tools by name, use case, category, pricing model, or GDPR info on the provider's page. Returns tool names, descriptions, pricing, GateOnAI scores, and direct URLs.
get_ai_workflowGenerate a step-by-step AI workflow for any profession, role, or business task. Uses GateOnAI's compatibility graph of 70,764 computed tool connections to suggest a tool sequence.
compare_ai_toolsCompare two or three AI tools head-to-head. Returns pricing, features, GateOnAI scores, pros/cons, and a recommendation on which tool to choose.
get_tool_detailsGet comprehensive details about a specific AI tool by its URL slug. Returns full description, pricing, GateOnAI score breakdown, pros/cons, GDPR status, and FAQ.
get_trending_toolsGet AI tools that are trending on GateOnAI by a fixed rule: at least 3 clicks to the tool's own website from GateOnAI visitors in the last 7 days (bots not counted). The list can be empty; the answer then says so and suggests whats_new (recently added tools) or search_ai_tools.
get_eu_gdpr_toolsFind AI tools whose providers, on their own websites, refer to the GDPR or state EU data hosting. Each result quotes the provider's own sentence, links the source page and gives the date of GateOnAI's automatic check (about monthly). These are provider statements, not an audit, v
get_prompts_for_professionGet ready-to-use AI prompts for a specific profession from GateOnAI's library of 10,120 prompts across 53 professions. Works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other LLMs.
get_site_statsGet current live statistics about the GateOnAI platform including total listed tools, categories, tool compatibility connections, and prompt library size.
get_compatible_toolsFind AI tools that may connect with a given tool, based on GateOnAI's IO-Compatibility Graph - computed automatically by matching the input/output content types (text, image, audio, video, code, etc.) that GateOnAI assigns to each tool. The tags are assigned automatically and can
find_ai_pipelineFind a computed sequence of AI tools that gets you from one type of content to another - e.g. audio to a finished blog post, or a single image to a full video. Powered by GateOnAI's IO-Compatibility Graph combined with a PostgreSQL recursive path-finding engine (not an LLM improv
whats_newSee real AI tools recently added to GateOnAI - based on genuine addition timestamps, not a guess or a static list. Optionally filter by category. Useful for staying current on new tool launches or checking what's new in a specific space (e.g. new AI Agents tools this week).
find_similar_by_philosophyFind AI tools that are conceptually or philosophically similar to a given tool - based on real semantic embedding similarity of each tool's name and tagline (MiniLM), not just shared category. Different from get_compatible_tools, which uses the structural IO-Compatibility Graph (
get_market_landscapeA real, computed statistical snapshot of one GateOnAI category: live tool count, real GateOnAI Score distribution (average/median/min/max) and current top-scoring tools. Every number is computed directly from live catalog data at request time - never a prediction, estimate, or in
match_prompt_to_taskGiven a free-text description of a task (e.g. 'write a cold email to a client'), finds the best-matching existing prompt(s) from GateOnAI's prompt library using real BM25 full-text search - not a semantic guess or an invented relevance score. Each result includes the actual promp
get_workflow_templateGet one of GateOnAI's 3,077 pre-built, ready-made AI workflows for a specific profession - a deterministic, ordered sequence of steps each matched to a real tool by category and GateOnAI Score, regenerated live from current tool data. Different from get_ai_workflow: this returns
build_workflow_boardTurn a goal described in plain language into a GateOnAI Workbench board: real tools from the GateOnAI catalog, connected step by step when they form a workflow. Returns the steps and a share link that contains the board itself - nothing is stored on GateOnAI's servers. The user c
analyze_ai_stackAutomated observations about a set of AI tools (2-40 GateOnAI tool slugs): tools not currently listed, category overlaps, data connections in GateOnAI's IO-compatibility graph, and (My AI Stack DNA) what the stack can make together by input/output type, output types none of the t

It passed 2 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.
The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.4.2) reached the registry 27 days ago.
Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.
