Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

LinkedIn, the messaging channels and the work trackers of a MakeHybrid account, as tools.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Computer or cloud
  • Transport: stdio, Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Marketing & social media
  • You need to fill in: MAKEHYBRID_API_KEY

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 60 things (tools) makehybrid_about, makehybrid_list_operations, makehybrid_describe_operation, makehybrid_read …
  • You fill in yourself: MAKEHYBRID_API_KEY, MAKEHYBRID_BASE_URL

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • Runs in the cloudNothing to install; it connects over the internet
  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Menu names can differ slightly by plan and over time.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • MAKEHYBRID_API_KEY secret required env
The organization's MakeHybrid API key, from its dashboard.
  • MAKEHYBRID_BASE_URL env
The host to call. Defaults to https://makehybrid.com; white-label customers set their provider's address.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • makehybrid_about

What MakeHybrid is, what this connection can do, and what it needs before it can act. ANSWER ANY GENERAL QUESTION ABOUT MAKEHYBRID WITH THIS -- "what do you do?", "what can you help with?", "what is this?" -- and call it first when you have not used this server before. It needs n

  • makehybrid_list_operations

Search the MakeHybrid LinkedIn API catalogue (447 operations: 447 MakeHybrid API) and get back a compact table of plan, method, path, group and operation id, plus the total number of matches. Start here, then pass an id to makehybrid_describe_operation, then to makehybrid_read or

  • makehybrid_describe_operation

Show one operation in full: method, path, plan, group, required scope, path parameters, summary, the source file it was derived from, and the exact makehybrid_read/makehybrid_write arguments that invoke it. Use this before calling an operation you have not called before.

  • makehybrid_read

READ any operation in the MakeHybrid manifest -- the GET ones, 185 of them (447 MakeHybrid API). Chats, messages, profiles, posts, reactions, search, company pages and the work trackers. This tool cannot change anything: it refuses every operation that is not a GET, so it is safe

  • makehybrid_write

WRITE through any operation in the MakeHybrid manifest that changes something -- 262 of them (447 MakeHybrid API): sending a message, publishing a post, commenting, reacting, inviting, moving a task. This tool refuses every GET; read with makehybrid_read. Documented in MakeHybrid

  • makehybrid_status

Report the configured host, enabled plans, whether an API key is configured (never the key itself), the manifest's origin, digest and age, the operation count per plan, and whether writes are enabled. Use this when a call fails unexpectedly.

  • complete_connect_credentials

Sign a LinkedIn account in with the member's own email and password. DO NOT ASK ANYONE FOR A PASSWORD IN A CONVERSATION: send them POST /linkedin/connect/link {action: connect} instead, which gives a one-hour link to a page of ours where the password is typed, and which asks for

  • complete_connect_cookie

Connect an account with an `li_at` session cookie the member took from their own browser. A cookie is a credential: do not ask for one in a conversation — POST /linkedin/connect/link {action: connect} is the way to offer this to a person. Forwarded once, never stored. -- MakeHybr

  • complete_connect_accounts

The LinkedIn accounts this organization has connected, which are the only ones anything here may act as. Start here when a request names a person's account: an id that is not on this list answers 404 everywhere else. -- MakeHybrid API plan, GET /linkedin/connect/accounts, group c

  • complete_posts_create

Create a Post -- MakeHybrid API plan, POST /linkedin/v2/{account_id}/posts, group posts. THE WORDS ARE YOURS TO WRITE. This API carries them to the page and keeps them; it holds none of the member's pricing, product, launch dates or announcements, so missing a fact, draft anyway

  • complete_webhooks_inbox_list

  • complete_x_v1_messages

  • complete_rooms_messages_send

Say something in a room as the organization's owner: text, chat_id (the first chat when absent). Its agents may answer, and its linked channels carry it out. Ask before writing where people read. -- MakeHybrid API plan, POST /rooms/{id}/messages, group rooms.

  • complete_rooms_work_ready

The work waiting to be taken, across every room: each task with its room. A room is a conversation around making and closing tasks, and a ready one is specified well enough to finish without asking - what it is, what done looks like, and the links it needs. This is how a person c

Common questions

Is Makehybrid MCP safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: MAKEHYBRID_API_KEY

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

Either way works: install it on your computer or connect to the cloud version.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.1.0) reached the registry 6 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

MakeHybrid for Gemini CLI

Your MakeHybrid account — LinkedIn, the messaging channels, the work trackers — as tools in Gemini CLI.

gemini extensions install https://github.com/makehybrid/mcp

It asks for your MakeHybrid API key at install and keeps it in your system keychain. The key is on your dashboard at makehybrid.com; leave the address setting empty unless your provider gave you one of its own.

Check it worked:

List my connected LinkedIn accounts.

Using the Gemini app instead?

The app does not run extensions. It takes a remote MCP server as a custom app on its Connected apps page — open gemini.google.com/apps, choose Add a custom app, and paste the address your dashboard gives you as the MCP server URL. Nothing to install, and the same tools.

Why this one runs a local server

Gemini CLI expands ${VAR} inside an extension manifest's env block only — not inside httpUrl, url or headers. So a remote-URL extension could not carry your own key, and every install would have to be edited by hand. Running the published package over stdio lets the settings block below prompt for the key and keep it out of the file.

Publishing this

The extension gallery indexes public GitHub repositories on its own — there is no form and no approval. What it needs is this directory at the ROOT of a public repo, with gemini-extension.json as a top-level file, and a tagged release.

makehybrid-mcp@1.0.0 is on npm, so npx -y makehybrid-mcp@latest resolves and this no longer waits on anything.

From a checkout of the monorepo:

cd extensions/gemini

git init -b main git remote add origin https://github.com/makehybrid/mcp.git git add -A git commit -m "MakeHybrid for Gemini CLI" git push -u origin main git tag v1.0.0 && git push origin v1.0.0

A separate repo rather than a subfolder of the monorepo, for two reasons: the manifest has to be at the root for the gallery to see it, and the monorepo is private and names a plan that is not public yet. These three files name neither — checked, not assumed.
