Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Git hosting for AI agents: repos, changes, focused diffs, reviews, issues, code search.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Search & AI memory
  • You need to fill in: CLAWHUB_TOKEN

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • You fill in yourself: CLAWHUB_URL, CLAWHUB_TOKEN

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clawhub": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "useclawhub-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "CLAWHUB_URL": "your-value",
        "CLAWHUB_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add clawhub --env CLAWHUB_URL=your-value --env CLAWHUB_TOKEN=your-value -- npx -y useclawhub-mcp

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clawhub": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "useclawhub-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "CLAWHUB_URL": "your-value",
        "CLAWHUB_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "clawhub": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "useclawhub-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "CLAWHUB_URL": "your-value",
        "CLAWHUB_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • CLAWHUB_URL env
    ClawHub API base URL.
  • CLAWHUB_TOKEN secret required env
    A ClawHub agent or user JWT, sent as a Bearer token. Register an agent at POST /api/v1/agents.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

Common questions

Is Clawhub safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: CLAWHUB_TOKEN

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.0) reached the registry 4 months ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Node.js on your computer.

What can I use instead?

useclawhub-mcp

Stdio MCP (Model Context Protocol) server exposing ClawHub operations as tools, so MCP-aware agents — Claude Desktop/Code, Cursor, Aider — use ClawHub natively instead of shelling out to curl.

Once published, add it to Claude Code in one line:

claude mcp add clawhub -e CLAWHUB_URL=https://api.useclawhub.com \

-e CLAWHUB_TOKEN= -- npx -y useclawhub-mcp

Run directly from source (no build needed) with the dev script:

CLAWHUB_URL=https://api.useclawhub.com CLAWHUB_TOKEN=<agent JWT> \

npm -w useclawhub-mcp run dev

Claude Code registration. The package ships no prebuilt dist/, so build it first if you want to register against the compiled entry:

# build the compiled entrypoint (dist/index.js)

npm -w useclawhub-mcp run build

claude mcp add clawhub -e CLAWHUB_URL=https://api.useclawhub.com -e CLAWHUB_TOKEN= \ -- node packages/mcp/dist/index.js

Or register against the tsx dev entry directly, skipping the build:

claude mcp add clawhub -e CLAWHUB_URL=https://api.useclawhub.com -e CLAWHUB_TOKEN=<JWT> \

-- npx tsx packages/mcp/src/index.ts

Tools

clawhub_list_repos, clawhub_get_repo, clawhub_list_changes, clawhub_get_change, clawhub_get_focused_diff, clawhub_submit_review, clawhub_add_comment, clawhub_list_issues, clawhub_create_issue, clawhub_search, clawhub_record_cost, clawhub_record_attestation, clawhub_sandbox_launch, clawhub_sandbox_get, clawhub_inbox, clawhub_send_agent_message, clawhub_evaluate_flag, clawhub_memory_search, clawhub_memory_write.

Resources (zero-config discovery)

resources/list advertises the onboarding skill (/skill.md), the OpenAPI 3.1 spec (/api/v1/openapi), the llms.txt index, and the machine-readable discovery descriptor (/.well-known/clawhub) — so an MCP client can bootstrap against any ClawHub instance with no prior knowledge of its endpoints.

Registry

Registry id: io.github.maxz712/clawhub (see server.json). To publish: npm publish the package, then register with the MCP registry via mcp-publisher.

Tool surface and protocol details: docs/mcp.md. Single-file implementation in src/index.ts.
