Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

MCP Server for Orderly Network - Documentation and SDK patterns

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

You need

  • Runs in the cloudNothing to install; it connects over the internet
  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://mcp.orderly.network/

Or run it on your computer

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "orderly": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "@orderly.network/mcp-server"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http orderly https://mcp.orderly.network/

Or run it on your computer

claude mcp add orderly -- npx -y @orderly.network/mcp-server

  • get_contract_addresses

    Get the deployed smart contract addresses for Orderly on a specific chain and network. `chain` is required; `contractType` filters to one contract (e.g. vault, usdc, usdt) or 'all'; `network` selects mainnet (default) or testnet. 'all' lists every contract with an address on the

Common questions

Is Orderly MCP safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

Either way works: install it on your computer or connect to the cloud version.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.5.8) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

VS Code (with Copilot)

npx @orderly.network/mcp-server init --client vscode

Interactive mode (prompts for client selection)

npx @orderly.network/mcp-server init

This command will:

  1. Create the appropriate configuration file for your AI client
  2. Install @orderly.network/mcp-server as a dev dependency
  3. Guide you through the next steps

After installation: Restart your AI client and try asking: _"How do I connect to Orderly Network?"_

Installation

Quick Install (Recommended)

Use the CLI to automatically configure your AI client:

npx @orderly.network/mcp-server init --client <client>

Available clients:

ClientCommandConfig Location
Claude Code--client claude.mcp.json
Cursor--client cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code--client vscode.vscode/mcp.json
Codex--client codex~/.codex/config.toml
OpenCode--client opencode.opencode/mcp.json
Manual Setup

If you prefer to configure manually or the automatic setup doesn't work for your client:

Prerequisites
  • Node.js 18 or higher
  • Yarn (or npm)
Setup from Source
  1. Clone or create the project:
cd orderly-mcp
  1. Install dependencies:
yarn install
  1. Build the project:
yarn build
Hosted Server

A publicly hosted instance is available at `https://mcp.orderly.network`.

Health check:

curl https://mcp.orderly.network/health

Use in MCP client config (Streamable HTTP):

{

"mcpServers": { "orderly": { "url": "https://mcp.orderly.network/" } } }

Running the Server

The MCP server supports two modes:

1. Stdio Mode (Default - for local MCP clients)

Use this for local AI assistants:

yarn start
Manual Configuration

If not using the automatic installer, add this configuration to your AI client:

Claude Code (.mcp.json):

{

"mcpServers": { "orderly": { "command": "npx", "args": ["@orderly.network/mcp-server@latest"] } } }

Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):

{

"mcpServers": { "orderly": { "command": "npx", "args": ["@orderly.network/mcp-server@latest"] } } }

VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json):

{

"servers": { "orderly": { "command": "npx", "args": ["@orderly.network/mcp-server@latest"] } } }

OpenCode (.opencode/mcp.json):

{

"$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json", "mcp": { "orderly": { "type": "local", "command": ["npx", "@orderly.network/mcp-server@latest"], "enabled": true } } }

Codex (~/.codex/config.toml):

[mcp_servers.orderly]

command = "npx" args = ["@orderly.network/mcp-server@latest"]

2. HTTP Mode (for self-hosted deployments)

Run as an HTTP server for remote access:

yarn start:http

The server will start on port 3000 (or PORT env var):

  • MCP endpoint: http://localhost:3000/
  • Health check: http://localhost:3000/health

Note: A public instance is already deployed at https://mcp.orderly.network - see Hosted Server above.

Docker Deployment:

# Build the image

docker build -t orderly-mcp .

Run the container

docker run -p 3000:3000 orderly-mcp

The Docker image runs in stateless HTTP mode by default.

Development

For development with auto-rebuild:

yarn dev
Code Quality

This project uses ESLint and Prettier for code quality:

# Run linting

yarn lint

Fix linting issues

yarn lint:fix

Format code

yarn format

Check formatting

yarn format:check

Type check

yarn typecheck
