Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read, create, and install your ParetoStudio prompts, agents, and skills from any MCP client.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Search & AI memory
  • You need to fill in: PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • You fill in yourself: PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY, PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "paretostudio": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "paretostudio-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "your-value",
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add paretostudio --env PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY=your-value --env PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL=your-value -- npx -y paretostudio-mcp

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "paretostudio": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "paretostudio-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "your-value",
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "paretostudio": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "paretostudio-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "your-value",
        "PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

    Your ParetoStudio API key (starts with psk_). Create one at https://paretostudio.io/settings under Developer.

Common questions

Is Paretostudio MCP safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.4.1) reached the registry 2 months ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Node.js on your computer.

paretostudio-mcp

Read your ParetoStudio prompt, agent, and skill library from Claude Code, Cursor, and any MCP client. Install agents and skills as files into Claude Code.

Quick Start

1. Get your API key

Go to paretostudio.io/settings and navigate to Developer, then create an API Key.

2. Configure your client

Claude Code (.mcp.json in your project root):

{

"mcpServers": { "paretostudio": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "paretostudio-mcp@latest"], "env": { "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "psk_your_key_here" } } } }

Cursor (Settings > MCP):

{

"mcpServers": { "paretostudio": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "paretostudio-mcp@latest"], "env": { "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "psk_your_key_here" } } } }

Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json):

{

"mcpServers": { "paretostudio": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "paretostudio-mcp@latest"], "env": { "PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY": "psk_your_key_here" } } } }

Codex (~/.codex/config.toml):

[mcp_servers.paretostudio]

command = "npx" args = ["-y", "paretostudio-mcp@latest"]

[mcp_servers.paretostudio.env] PARETOSTUDIO_API_KEY = "psk_your_key_here"

3. Use it

Ask Codex, Claude, or your MCP client to "list my prompts" or "install my agent" — the tools are available automatically.

Install tools never overwrite existing files by default. Pass overwrite: true only when you intentionally want to replace an installed agent or skill. For Codex project skills, call install_skill with client: "codex"; the skill is written to .agents/skills/ /SKILL.md instead of .claude/skills/.

Write tools respect your plan's library caps (Free: 5 prompts / 2 agents / 2 skills; Pro and Team: unlimited).

Source

The server source lives in the ParetoStudio application repository, because it imports the same business rules the API enforces (src/rules/) — duplicating them here would let the two drift apart. This repository is the public home of the published package: the manifest registries read, the configuration examples, and the documentation.

Releases are automatic: a version bump reaching main publishes to npm, and a CI gate refuses a build whose server changed since the last bump.

The server is a local process on your machine. It talks only to the ParetoStudio API (https://paretostudio.io, or the PARETOSTUDIO_API_URL you configure) using the API key you provide, and sends nothing anywhere else. Privacy policy: paretostudio.io/privacy
