These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Compared with every active server in this category in the registry. Stars count only when the publisher owns the repo.
It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
You need to fill in: PDFMONKEY_API_KEY
It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).
The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.1) reached the registry 10 days ago.

The official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for PDFMonkey. It lets AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor or any other MCP client list your templates, generate documents and check your quota through the PDFMonkey API.
io.github.pdfmonkey/pdfmonkey-mcpThe MCP server works with existing templates: it can read them but not create or edit them. To let an agent build and preview templates, use the PDFMonkey CLI.
Sign up at dashboard.pdfmonkey.io/register, then copy your API key from your account page.
The server needs Node.js 18 or later and reads your key from the PDFMONKEY_API_KEY environment variable.
claude mcp add pdfmonkey -e PDFMONKEY_API_KEY=your-api-key -- npx -y pdfmonkey-mcp-server
Add this to your client’s MCP configuration (claude_desktop_config.json for Claude Desktop, .cursor/mcp.json for Cursor):
{
"mcpServers": { "pdfmonkey": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "pdfmonkey-mcp-server"], "env": { "PDFMONKEY_API_KEY": "your-api-key" } } } }
Claude Desktop’s configuration file lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/ on macOS and %APPDATA%\Claude\ on Windows.
No image is published yet, so build it locally:
docker build -t pdfmonkey-mcp-server .
{
"mcpServers": { "pdfmonkey": { "command": "docker", "args": ["run", "-i", "--rm", "-e", "PDFMONKEY_API_KEY", "pdfmonkey-mcp-server"], "env": { "PDFMONKEY_API_KEY": "your-api-key" } } } }
See DOCKER-MCP-TOOLKIT.md to use it with the Docker MCP Toolkit.
