Description from the maker (original English)
Reddit & X data for AI agents over MCP. Semantic search, hosted, no Reddit API.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

Social research for AI agents — research that runs 24/7. Prowlo is a hosted MCP server. Watchers collect new posts from Reddit and Hacker News (plus Mastodon, RSS and X), and your agent searches them by meaning from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client.

Every client connects to the same hosted endpoint. OAuth is the recommended path: no API key to copy, store or rotate.
https://api.prowlo.com/mcp and click Add.On Claude's Free plan you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an org Owner adds it. If that blocks you, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code connect per user over the same endpoint.
claude mcp add --transport http prowlo https://api.prowlo.com/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick prowlo and choose Authenticate. Add -s user to the first command to make Prowlo available in every project.

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or Settings → MCP → Add new server). Cursor opens a browser window to sign in.

Windsurf (~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json) signs in with OAuth when there is no headers block:
{
"mcpServers": { "prowlo": { "serverUrl": "https://api.prowlo.com/mcp" } } }
Cline (cline_mcp_settings.json) and other clients that need a key: create an API key in your Prowlo settings and send it as a header. Cline needs "type": "streamableHttp"; without it, Cline falls back to the legacy SSE transport.
{
"mcpServers": { "prowlo": { "type": "streamableHttp", "url": "https://api.prowlo.com/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_PROWLO_API_KEY" } } } }
For clients that only speak stdio, bridge to the hosted server with mcp-remote (Node.js 18+). It runs a small local shim; the server is still the hosted one.

Ready-to-copy config files for each client are in examples/.
