Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Create and track QR codes, audio codes, menus, and scan analytics for a Qrblox merchant.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Computer or cloud
  • Transport: stdio, Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Online shops & payments
  • You need to fill in: QRBLOX_API_KEY, Authorization

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • You fill in yourself: QRBLOX_API_KEY, Authorization

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • Runs in the cloudNothing to install; it connects over the internet
  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

This address needs a key in a request header, which the add-connector menu cannot set. Use Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code instead.

Or run it on your computer

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "qrblox": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "qrblox-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "QRBLOX_API_KEY": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http qrblox https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1 --header 'Authorization: your-value'

Or run it on your computer

claude mcp add qrblox --env QRBLOX_API_KEY=your-value -- npx -y qrblox-mcp

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "qrblox": {
      "url": "https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Or run it on your computer

      ],
      "env": {
        "QRBLOX_API_KEY": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "qrblox": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.qrblox.com/mcp/v1",

      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This address needs a key in a request header, which the add-connector menu cannot set. Use Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code instead.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • QRBLOX_API_KEY secret env
    Your sk-qrblox- API key (optional for keyless tools)
  • Authorization secret required HTTP header
    Bearer token: your sk-qrblox- API key from https://app.qrblox.com/settings

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

Common questions

Is Qrblox safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: QRBLOX_API_KEY, Authorization

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

Either way works: install it on your computer or connect to the cloud version.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.0) reached the registry 23 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Qrblox MCP

The Model Context Protocol server for [Qrblox](https://qrblox.com) — let any MCP-aware AI agent generate and manage QR codes, audio codes, menus, and loyalty campaigns.

📚 Full reference: docs.qrblox.com/mcp.html 🌐 Endpoint: https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp 🔑 Mint a key: create.qrblox.com/settings/api-keys 🟢 No-key sandbox: POST https://app.qrblox.com/api/generate-qr-code

This is a public, README-only repo. The MCP server itself is

deployed at the endpoint above; the canonical docs live at

docs.qrblox.com/mcp.html.

What is it?

qrblox-mcp is a JSON-RPC 2.0 MCP server. Point Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, or any MCP client at https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp, paste in a sk-qrblox- key, and the assistant can immediately draft QR codes (and audio codes, menus, and loyalty campaigns) and read scan analytics on a merchant workspace.

Every code created via the MCP lives on the caller's Qrblox account alongside codes made from the iOS, Android, Canva, and web surfaces.

Quick start

1. Try it free (no signup, no OAuth)
curl -X POST https://app.qrblox.com/api/generate-qr-code \

-H 'content-type: application/json' \ -d '{"url":"https://example.com"}'

Returns:

{

"ok": true, "code": { "codeId": "…", "destinationUrl": "https://example.com", "qrImage": "data:image/png;base64,…", // inline PNG "qrImageUrl": "https://storage.googleapis.com/…", // hosted PNG "claimToken": "…", "expiresAt": "…" }, "upgrade": { "signup": "https://app.qrblox.com", "apiKeys": "https://create.qrblox.com/settings/api-keys" } }

Sandbox limits: 3 codes / IP / day, codes expire in 7 days.

2. Mint an API key

Sign in to create.qrblox.com → Settings → API keys → New API key. Keys are sk-qrblox-<64 hex chars>, shown once, and revocable anytime.

3. Connect Claude Desktop
// ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

{ "mcpServers": { "qrblox": { "url": "https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer sk-qrblox-..." } } } }

Restart Claude Desktop. Then ask: *"Generate a QR code for https://my-spring-menu.com."*

4. Or Cursor / Codex / curl

Same URL, same Authorization header.

# tools/list — no auth required

curl -X POST https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp \ -H 'content-type: application/json' \ -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'

tools/call — create a code on your account

curl -X POST https://app.qrblox.com/api/mcp \ -H 'authorization: Bearer sk-qrblox-...' \ -H 'content-type: application/json' \ -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call", "params":{"name":"qrblox.qr.create", "arguments":{"title":"Spring menu", "destinationUrl":"https://qrblox.com/menu/spring"}}}'

Errors

HTTP / JSON-RPCMeaning
400 / -32600Invalid JSON-RPC 2.0 request.
401 / -32001Missing or invalid key. data.code = NO_AUTH / INVALID_API_KEY / INVALID_TOKEN.
403 / -32001Key revoked (data.code = REVOKED).
200 / -32601Unsupported method.
200 / -32602Unknown tool.
200 / -32000Tool handler threw — read error.message.

Security model

  • Merchant-scoped — every API key is tied to one merchant workspace and one owner uid; tools can't reach another merchant's data.
  • Hashed keys — plaintext shown once; Firestore stores only a SHA-256 hash and a short prefix.
  • Audited — every tool call writes an audit entry with the caller, tool name, and status. Arguments and results are not persisted.
  • Draft-first — creation tools produce drafts; publishing, billing, and destructive changes stay with the merchant.
