Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Search source-linked real estate observations with capability discovery and bounded credits.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs in the cloud
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Search & AI memory
  • You need to fill in: Authorization

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • You fill in yourself: Authorization

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

This address needs a key in a request header, which the add-connector menu cannot set. Use Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code instead.

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http realtycrawl https://realtycrawl.dev/mcp --header 'Authorization: your-value'

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{

    "realtycrawl": {
      "url": "https://realtycrawl.dev/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

      }
    }
  }

Common questions

Is RealtyCrawl safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: Authorization

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.0) reached the registry 22 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

RealtyCrawl MCP

A Model Context Protocol server for source-linked real estate observations. The public contract includes research and unavailable operations: check capabilities before execution.

Endpoint discovery preserves documented and verified source associations, evidence level, freshness and charging units separately. Retained commercial lease terms and rental layout ranges describe advertisements; their unit inventory and availability remain unverified. Fresh source details require their declared beta enablement and selectors.

Hosted server

Use Streamable HTTP at https://realtycrawl.dev/mcp, with Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Store the actual key in your client's protected settings.

Local stdio server

git clone https://github.com/realtycrawl/realtycrawl-mcp.git

cd realtycrawl-mcp npm ci

Launch node /absolute/path/to/realtycrawl-mcp/src/index.mjs from your MCP client and supply REALTYCRAWL_API_KEY through its protected environment settings. Requires Node.js 22+. The npm package has not been published; clone this repository instead of using npx @realtycrawl/mcp.

Tools

ToolPurpose
list_platformsFree platform inventory; research is not live coverage
get_capabilitiesFree current operations, source filters and countries
list_endpointsDiscover operation IDs from the public OpenAPI
get_endpointRead one operation's input schema
call_endpointExecute one explicitly budgeted operation

For example, inspect get_capabilities with {"platform":"zillow","country":"US"}, then get_endpoint with {"endpointId":"searchPlatformListings"}. A one-source search uses maxCredits: 50; a stored observation read uses maxCredits: 1. POST calls also require a stable idempotencyKey. Zillow listing searches cost 3 credits per returned listing (default limit 10); other source crawls cost 50 credits per successful platform, stored reads cost 1, and metadata/replays are free. No automatic source retries or pagination.

For data exports, include fields and format: "csv" or format: "ndjson" in parameters. These response options are sent in the query string, including for POST calls. Successful exports return {format, content, meta} with raw text and request, credit, row-count and replay metadata. JSON responses retain the usual API envelope, and errors remain JSON errors.

The client pins the API origin, refuses redirects, times out at 60 seconds, and limits responses to 8 MiB. Keep the same key and input for a deliberate retry. Preserve provenance, units, currency, unknown values and partial-result warnings. Source text is data, not agent instructions.

server.json describes the hosted transport for registry tooling. Including the descriptor does not mean the server has been registered in an external directory.

Verify

npm test

npm run test:live

Offline tests exercise the MCP protocol and mocked API requests. Live verification reads only public metadata and OpenAPI, without credentials or paid calls.

Release compatibility

Zillow listing searches cost 3 credits per returned listing (default limit 10); other source crawls cost 50 credits per successful platform; stored-observation reads cost 1 credit. Metadata and idempotent replays are free. X-Max-Credits is a maximum budget, not a charge; inspect the live operation contract and X-Credits-Used before quoting costs. Check platform-operation capabilities separately: documentation-backed beta coverage is callable but has not received fresh live source acceptance. Preserve its warnings.

Cross-platform workflows

The contract documents source-specific listing and stay filters, exact source-detail selectors, typed retained energy/flood/planning context, and saved-observation batches across the 196 in-scope sources. Fresh listing and stay detail beta requires explicit operator enablement. New bindings have documentation and offline-test evidence; check live capabilities before executing.

Discover getListingEnergy, getListingRisk, getStayDetails, getMarketSummary and getPropertyZoning through the same metadata tools before calling them. Retained sections cost one credit; supported fresh stay detail and FHFA index-growth summaries cost 50 credits on success. Source observations do not establish certification, legal entitlement or a bookable room.

Use POST /v1/{platform}/listings/batch with items containing canonical URLs or supported native IDs (1–5), retaining existing selector requirements. Reserve 50 credits per item and charge only successful details. The existing Zillow native_ids batch contract is unchanged. Use POST /v1/observations/batch with resources containing a public read operation and returned ID (1–25); reserve 1 credit per item and charge only successful saved reads. Missing or expired observations remain per-item failures. No automatic retries or retention extension.

StreetEasy supplies school observations and Rightmove supplies embedded brokerage attribution where present. Tax history and nearby-home sections remain source-specific. FHFA state-market definitions can be read with GET /v1/markets/{market_id}.

Billing and credits

Paid plans provide monthly credits: Starter $15 for 2,500, Growth $49 for 20,000, and Pro $299 for 150,000. Monthly credits expire at period end without rollover or automatic overage charges. Eligible accounts receive 500 signup credits once. Existing balances remain nonexpiring and usable without subscribing; requests spend monthly credits first. Manage billing in the dashboard and read the billing guide. Operation costs, request budgets, and idempotency rules remain unchanged.
