Browser Use
Lets AI do web tasks for you, such as filling forms, searching and extracting data, in the maker’s cloud browsers or on your computer.
Description from the maker (original English)
Clone websites, scrape pages to markdown and crawl whole sites. A free Firecrawl alternative.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.
Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.
Which app do you use?
Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.
Download the maker’s .mcpb file
The link goes to the maker’s own file; we do not host or repackage it. Open the file and Claude Desktop installs it.
Run this in your terminal
Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.
The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.
It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Clone, scrape and crawl any website. Free Firecrawl alternative. No API keys, no rate limits, no subscription.
Cursor (one-click): Click the "Install in Cursor" button above.
Manual MCP config:
{
"mcpServers": { "deepcrawl-mcp": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "deepcrawl-mcp@latest"] } } }
Every install below keeps itself up to date, without restarting Claude or Cursor. The MCP client talks to a small supervisor (bin/supervise.cjs) that stays connected while the server runs behind it. At start-up and every 6 hours it asks npm for the latest deepcrawl-mcp, installs it in the background in ~/.soflution/mcp/deepcrawl-mcp/, and switches over as soon as no request is in flight (the client is told the tool list may have changed). A version that fails to start is rolled back at once and never picked again on that machine. npm checks the integrity of every download, and releases are published from GitHub Actions with provenance.
The only network call is that version check to registry.npmjs.org; nothing about your machine or your use is sent. Turn it off with NO_UPDATE_NOTIFIER=1 (or SOFLUTION_AUTO_UPDATE=0). Started directly with node dist/..., deepcrawl-mcp does not update itself and only mentions a newer version in its first tool result.
CLI:
npx deepcrawl-mcp@latest

deepcrawl handles static sites out of the box. For JS-heavy SPAs (React, Next.js, SvelteKit), install Playwright for full rendering:
npm install -g playwright
npx playwright install chromium
Once installed, deepcrawl auto-detects Playwright and enables JS rendering. Use jsRender: true on any tool to activate it. All tools also include UA rotation, realistic browser headers, and random delays to avoid basic bot detection.
