MCP YouTube Transcript
An MCP server retrieving transcripts of YouTube videos
Description from the maker (original English)
Video transcripts, metadata and structured data from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X; web scraping.
These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.
We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.
Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.
x-api-keyValues marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

This address needs a key in a request header, which the add-connector menu cannot set. Use Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code instead.
Run this in your terminal
claude mcp add --transport http supadata-ai https://api.supadata.ai/mcp --header 'x-api-key: your-value'Fill in the empty values before running it.
Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

Compared with every active server in this category in the registry. Stars count only when the publisher owns the repo.
It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

GA4 MCP server for AI agents: schema discovery, server-side aggregation, analysis-ready defaults.
AI video summarizer: summarize and transcribe YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok and podcast videos.

Use Supadata in your AI agent: video transcripts, media metadata, web scraping, crawling, and site discovery. This repository is the Supadata MCP server (Model Context Protocol), which AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use to call Supadata.

Other MCP clients can connect to the hosted server at https://api.supadata.ai/mcp (OAuth, or an x-api-key header), or run the local server below.
For step-by-step setup in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, VS Code and other AI agents, see the AI agents guide.
Running the package starts an MCP server on stdio. Use this when your AI agent should spawn the server locally with your API key instead of using the hosted server (for example a custom agent, or VS Code / Windsurf config files):
SUPADATA_API_KEY=your-api-key npx -y @supadata/mcp
Example client configuration:
{
"mcpServers": { "supadata": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@supadata/mcp"], "env": { "SUPADATA_API_KEY": "your-api-key" } } } }
The same tools are served over Streamable HTTP by the Cloudflare Worker in src/worker.ts, deployed at https://api.supadata.ai/mcp with OAuth 2.1. Run it locally with npm run dev (wrangler). Direct x-api-key header authentication is also accepted on /mcp.
An OAuth connection stays alive while it is used and expires after 30 days without use. Then clients have to log in again; Codex keeps retrying the expired login instead of asking, so run codex mcp login supadata if Supadata tools stop working in Codex.
SUPADATA_API_KEY: Your Supadata API key (required for the stdio server). Get one at dash.supadata.aiDEBUG: set to true for verbose loggingRUN_STDIO: set to true to force the stdio server to start when the module is imported rather than executed directlySelect the right tool based on your needs:
