Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Model work domains, score tasks for AI suitability, and design organisations.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Docs, sheets & office work
  • You need to fill in: SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • You fill in yourself: SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • PyPIPython’s uv installed (for the uvx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "systemonomic": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "systemonomic-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add systemonomic --env SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY=your-value -- uvx systemonomic-mcp

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "systemonomic": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "systemonomic-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "systemonomic": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "systemonomic-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY secret env
    Your Systemonomic API key (generate at systemonomic.com/profile)

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Common questions

Is Systemonomic — Work Domain Analysis & AI Task Suitability safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.1.2) reached the registry 7 months ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Python (uv) on your computer.

What can I use instead?

Systemonomic MCP Servers

MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that expose Systemonomic's Work Domain Analysis, ATSS assessment, and organizational design capabilities to AI agents (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).

Quick Start

1. Install
pip install systemonomic-mcp
2. Get an API Key
  1. Log in to Systemonomic
  2. Go to Profile → API Keys
  3. Click Generate API Key
  4. Copy the key (starts with sk_sys_) — it's shown only once
3. Configure

Set the environment variable:

export SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY="sk_sys_your_key_here"

Optionally, point to a different API endpoint (defaults to production):

export SYSTEMONOMIC_API_URL="https://your-dev-backend.up.railway.app"
4. Add to Claude Desktop

Add to your claude_desktop_config.json:

{

"mcpServers": { "systemonomic-wda": { "command": "python", "args": ["-m", "systemonomic_mcp.wda_server"], "env": { "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "sk_sys_your_key_here" } }, "systemonomic-atss": { "command": "python", "args": ["-m", "systemonomic_mcp.atss_server"], "env": { "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "sk_sys_your_key_here" } }, "systemonomic-org": { "command": "python", "args": ["-m", "systemonomic_mcp.org_server"], "env": { "SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY": "sk_sys_your_key_here" } } } }

5. Add to Cursor

In Cursor Settings → MCP Servers, add each server:

  • Name: systemonomic-wda
  • Command: python -m systemonomic_mcp.wda_server
  • Environment: SYSTEMONOMIC_API_KEY=sk_sys_...

Repeat for atss_server and org_server.

Example Conversations

"Help me model our procurement process"

You: Generate a WDA for our university procurement department. They handle purchase requests, vendor management, contract negotiation, and compliance with government regulations.

Claude: *Uses create_project → generate_wda → returns the generated hierarchy*

"Assess which tasks can be automated"

You: For the procurement project, derive tasks from the WDA and run an automation assessment.

Claude: *Uses generate_tasks_from_wda → run_atss_batch → summarizes automation candidates*

"Generate the full report"

You: Create a PDF report for the procurement project.

Claude: *Uses generate_pdf_report → saves the PDF*
