Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read orders, products, stock and returns; acknowledge orders and set stock in ChannelEngine.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs in the cloud
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Online shops & payments

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 15 things (tools) channelengine_list_channels, channelengine_get_settings, channelengine_list_stock_locations, channelengine_list_orders …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • channelengine_list_channels

List the marketplaces and webshops (channels) connected to this merchant account, with their ids. Good first call: channel ids are used by the other filters. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/channels.

  • channelengine_get_settings

Get the merchant account settings in ChannelEngine. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/settings.

  • channelengine_list_stock_locations

List the stock locations (warehouses) of this merchant account, with their ids. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/stocklocations.

  • channelengine_list_orders

List orders with filters: status, order numbers, channel, order date range and acknowledgement state. Returns Content plus TotalCount. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/orders.

  • channelengine_get_new_orders

Get the orders that are new and not yet processed by the merchant (the usual order-intake call). Merchant API: GET /api/v2/orders/new.

  • channelengine_acknowledge_order

WRITE: acknowledge one order, which tells the channel the merchant accepted it. Needs the ChannelEngine OrderId (from channelengine_list_orders). Optionally sets your own MerchantOrderNo on it. Merchant API: POST /api/v2/orders/acknowledge.

  • channelengine_list_products

Search the merchant product catalogue by name, merchant product number, EAN or brand, or by explicit lists of product numbers or EANs. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/products.

  • channelengine_get_product

Get one product by its merchant product number (SKU). Merchant API: GET /api/v2/products/{merchantProductNo}.

  • channelengine_list_channel_listings

List the products listed on one channel (marketplace or webshop), optionally for given merchant product numbers. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/channels/{channelId}/products.

  • channelengine_get_stock

Get the stock level per product across all stock locations. Pages start at index 0 here. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/offer/stock.

  • channelengine_update_stock

WRITE: set the absolute stock for products at stock locations. This changes live stock on every connected channel. Send the full stock per location, not a change. Merchant API: PUT /api/v2/offer/stock.

  • channelengine_list_shipments

List shipments created for merchant orders, with filters on order, shipment, create date and channel. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/shipments/merchant.

  • channelengine_list_notifications

List notifications ChannelEngine raised for this merchant (for example order or shipment problems), with date and order filters. Merchant API: GET /api/v2/notifications.

Common questions

Is ChannelEngine MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.2.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

ChannelEngine MCP by usefulapi

Use your ChannelEngine account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. It reads orders, products, stock, shipments, returns, cancellations and notifications, and it can acknowledge orders and set stock levels. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://channelengine.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://channelengine.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http channelengine https://channelengine.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "channelengine": { "url": "https://channelengine.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your ChannelEngine credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/channelengine/

On first connect you provide your ChannelEngine tenant subdomain and Merchant API key (in ChannelEngine under Settings, Merchant API keys; the subdomain is the part before .channelengine.net). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
