Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read FireText credit, messages and reports; send an SMS to up to 10 numbers; manage opt-outs.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs in the cloud
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Chat & email

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 13 things (tools) firetext_get_credit, firetext_list_received_messages, firetext_list_sent_messages, firetext_get_sent_summary …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • firetext_get_credit

Number of SMS credits (messages) remaining on the FireText account or a sub-account. FireText: /credit.

  • firetext_list_received_messages

Inbound SMS received on the account's FireText numbers/keywords (messageID, sentTo, keyword, receivedFrom, receivedOn, message). Dates YYYY-MM-DD; from="last" returns only what is new since the last call. FireText: /receivedmessages.

  • firetext_list_sent_messages

Messages (campaigns) sent from the account: messageID, sentOn, sentTo (group), recipientCount, message. The messageID is what the delivery and click reports need. Dates YYYY-MM-DD. FireText: /sentmessages.

  • firetext_get_sent_summary

Totals for a date range: number of campaigns, recipients and credits used. FireText: /sentreport.

  • firetext_list_scheduled_messages

Messages queued for later sending (messageID, queuedOn, scheduledFor, recipientCount, sourceAddress, sendTo, message). FireText: /scheduledmessages.

  • firetext_get_delivery_report

Per-recipient delivery status of one sent message (mobile, names, messageSent, messageUpdate, status: Delivered / Declined / Buffered / Pending with Network / Rejected / Unconfirmed). Give the FireText message id OR the custom reference used when sending. FireText: /deliveryrepor

  • firetext_get_click_report

Link clicks for one sent message (mobile, names, clicked, userAgent). Only for messages that used FireText's Trackable SMS feature (otherwise the vendor answers URL error). FireText: /clickreport.

  • firetext_get_contact

Stored details of one contact by mobile number (firstname, lastname, mobile, customField1-3). FireText: /contactinfo.

  • firetext_list_unsubscribed

Contacts that opted out (names, mobile, custom fields, addedOn, unsubscribedOn, reason). Optional date range and group API id. FireText: /unsubscribed.

  • firetext_list_keywords

SMS keywords on the account (keywordID, number, keyword, reference). FireText: /keywords.

  • firetext_send_sms

WRITE, SPENDS MONEY: sends a REAL SMS to real phones and uses the account's SMS credits (one credit per 160 GSM characters per recipient; long and unicode messages cost more). Cannot be undone. At most 10 recipients per call; no groups, templates, scheduling or repeats. Only call

  • firetext_subscribe_contact

WRITE: adds a contact (by mobile number) to the FireText account, optionally into a group, or with update=true refreshes the names/custom fields of an existing contact. Does not send any SMS. A contact that opted out cannot be re-added this way (they must rejoin by SMS). FireText

  • firetext_unsubscribe_contact

WRITE: opts a contact out of the FireText account (all groups by default), so it no longer receives group messages. The contact can only rejoin by SMS. Does not send any SMS. FireText: /unsubscribe.

Common questions

Is FireText MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.22.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

FireText MCP by usefulapi

Use FireText from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — credit, sent and received messages, delivery and click reports, contacts, and single SMS sends. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own FireText credentials.

Live endpoint: https://firetext.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/firetext

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://firetext.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http firetext https://firetext.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "firetext": { "url": "https://firetext.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your FireText credentials.
