Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read Kinsta sites, environments, backups, logs and analytics; clear caches, restart PHP, back up.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs in the cloud
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Category: Marketing & social media

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 23 things (tools) kinsta_get_api_key_info, kinsta_list_available_regions, kinsta_list_activity_logs, kinsta_list_sites …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • kinsta_get_api_key_info

Details of the Kinsta API key in use: its name, status, expiry and the company id it belongs to. The key itself is never shown. GET /validate.

  • kinsta_list_available_regions

The data center regions (name and region code) the company can host sites in. GET /company/{id}/available-regions.

  • kinsta_list_activity_logs

The company's activity log (who did what: site actions, DNS, migrations, billing, notifications, user management), newest first, with type, status, time, initiator and a description. Page with limit and offset (the reply's total tells how many exist). GET /company/{id}/activity-l

  • kinsta_list_sites

List the company's WordPress sites (id, name, display name, status, labels). With include_environments the live/staging environment ids, primary domain, PHP version, WordPress version and SSH host/port come too: use those environment ids for the other tools. GET /sites.

  • kinsta_get_site

One site by id, with its status and environments. GET /sites/{site_id}.

  • kinsta_list_site_environments

The environments (live, staging, ...) of one site: id, name, PHP engine version, WordPress version, primary domain, edge cache and CDN ids. GET /sites/{site_id}/environments.

  • kinsta_get_site_usage

A site's usage for the current billing month: visits, bandwidth or CDN bandwidth. GET /sites/{site_id}/usage/{metric}/this-month.

  • kinsta_list_environment_domains

The domains attached to one environment (id, name, whether Kinsta DNS/Cloudflare is used). GET /sites/environments/{env_id}/domains.

  • kinsta_list_company_domains

All domains the company has in Kinsta DNS / hosting, across sites. GET /domains.

  • kinsta_list_backups

The backups of one environment (manual, scheduled and system): id, name, note, type and creation time (epoch ms). Backups cannot be restored or deleted from here. GET /sites/environments/{env_id}/backups.

  • kinsta_list_plugins

The plugins of one environment: name, title, status (active/inactive), version, available update version, vulnerability flags and the auto-update type. GET /sites/environments/{env_id}/wp-plugins.

  • kinsta_get_logs

Recent lines of an environment's error log, access log or Kinsta cache performance log, optionally within a time range and filtered by a search text. Returns the log as text (the newest lines the API gives). Access logs contain visitor IP addresses. GET /sites/environments/{env_i

  • kinsta_get_analytics

Traffic and resource analytics for one environment: visits, bandwidth, CDN bandwidth, disk space, response codes, visit dispersion, or the top countries, cities, browsers, hosts, referrers, user agents or ASNs. Choose a time_span or a from/to date range (yyyy-mm-dd). The company

  • kinsta_clear_site_cache

WRITE: clear the page cache of one environment (the site is briefly slower while the cache warms up; nothing is lost). Returns an operation_id: check it with kinsta_get_operation_status. POST /sites/tools/clear-cache.

  • kinsta_clear_edge_cache

WRITE: clear Kinsta's edge cache for one environment, optionally only for one URL (and its subdirectories). Nothing is lost; pages are cached again on the next visits. Returns an operation_id. POST /sites/edge-caching/clear.

  • kinsta_clear_cdn_cache

WRITE: clear the CDN cache of one environment (nothing is lost; files are fetched from the origin again). Needs the environment's cdn_cache_id from kinsta_list_sites. Returns an operation_id. POST /sites/cdn/clear-cache.

  • kinsta_create_manual_backup

WRITE: start a manual backup of one environment, with an optional note. Kinsta limits the number of manual backups per environment; when the limit is reached the request fails and nothing is deleted. Returns an operation_id. POST /sites/environments/{env_id}/manual-backups.

Common questions

Is Kinsta MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.22.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

In the same category: MCP YouTube Transcript, Google Analytics MCP, BibiGPT YouTube Video Summarizer

Kinsta MCP by usefulapi

Use Kinsta from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — sites, environments, backups, plugins, logs, analytics and domains, plus cache clears, PHP restarts and manual backups. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own Kinsta credentials.

Live endpoint: https://kinsta.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/kinsta

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://kinsta.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http kinsta https://kinsta.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "kinsta": { "url": "https://kinsta.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Kinsta credentials.
