Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read mailboxes, documents and parsed data; parse text and re-parse documents in Parsio.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 12 things (tools) parsio_list_mailboxes, parsio_get_mailbox, parsio_list_table_fields, parsio_list_documents …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http parsio https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "parsio": {
      "url": "https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "parsio": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker

Menu names can differ slightly by plan and over time.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • parsio_list_mailboxes

    List all Parsio mailboxes (inboxes that hold documents and parsers) available to the account. Good first call to find a mailbox id. API: GET /mailboxes/.

  • parsio_get_mailbox

    Get one mailbox with its settings: name, parser type (preset), model and email address. API: GET /mailboxes/{id}.

  • parsio_list_table_fields

    List the table fields defined in a mailbox (the column names of its parsed tables). API: GET /mailboxes/{id}/tableFields.

  • parsio_list_documents

    List documents in a mailbox, newest first, with status. Filter by date range, name search or status. Paginated (per_page max 500). API: GET /mailboxes/{id}/docs.

  • parsio_get_document

    Get a parsed document as JSON, with its status and extracted fields. Use it to fetch a result after parsing_in_progress was true. API: GET /docs/{id}.

  • parsio_get_parsed_data

    Get the parsed data of documents in a mailbox, optionally for a date range. Paginated. API: GET /mailboxes/{id}/parsed.

  • parsio_list_templates

    List the parsing templates of a template-based mailbox. Paginated. API: GET /mailboxes/{id}/templates.

  • parsio_get_template

    Get one parsing template with its rules. API: GET /templates/{id}.

  • parsio_list_webhooks

    List the webhooks of a mailbox (url, event, enabled). API: GET /webhooks/mb/{mailbox_id}.

  • parsio_list_collected_emails

    List the sender email addresses a mailbox collected. API: GET /mailboxes/{id}/emails.

  • parsio_parse_text

    WRITE: create a new document in a mailbox from plain text or HTML and wait for the parsed result. It counts against the account's Parsio document quota. Works only for template-based and GPT-powered mailboxes. If it returns parsing_in_progress true, fetch the result later with pa

  • parsio_reparse_document

    WRITE: queue an existing document for parsing again, for example after you change a template. The old result is replaced. API: POST /docs/{id}/parse.

Common questions

Is Parsio MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.2.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Parsio MCP by usefulapi

Use your Parsio account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read mailboxes, documents and parsed data, and send text or a document through the parser. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http parsio https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "parsio": { "url": "https://parsio.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Parsio credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/parsio/

On first connect you provide a Parsio API key (Parsio → Account settings). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
