Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read taps, beers and pours; add beers and tap them in RaspberryPints.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 15 things (tools) raspberrypints_get_brewery, raspberrypints_list_beers, raspberrypints_get_beer, raspberrypints_get_beer_by_external_id …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http raspberrypints https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "raspberrypints": {
      "url": "https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "raspberrypints": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 8, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • raspberrypints_get_brewery

    Get the brewery that the API key belongs to: name, subdomain and type. Good first call to confirm the connection. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}.

  • raspberrypints_list_beers

    List the beers in the brewery's menu: name, style, ABV, IBU, SRM, price and externalId. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/beers.

  • raspberrypints_get_beer

    Get one beer by its RaspberryPints beer id. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/beers/{beerId}.

  • raspberrypints_get_beer_by_external_id

    Get one beer by the externalId your system set on it. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/beers/external/{externalId}.

  • raspberrypints_list_taps

    List the brewery's taps with the beer on each tap and the active keg session (volume start and remaining). GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps.

  • raspberrypints_get_tap

    Get one tap with its beer and active keg session. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps/{tapId}.

  • raspberrypints_get_tap_by_external_id

    Get one tap by the externalId your system set on it. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps/external/{externalId}.

  • raspberrypints_get_taplist

    Get the brewery's taplist: its taplist id and brewery id. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taplist.

  • raspberrypints_list_pours

    List recorded pours, newest first. Pass 'since' (ISO 8601) for incremental sync, and 'tap_id' to scope to one tap. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/pours.

  • raspberrypints_get_pour_by_external_id

    Get one recorded pour by the externalId your system set on it. GET /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/pours/external/{externalId}.

  • raspberrypints_create_beer

    Add a beer to the brewery's menu. Name, style, ABV, IBU, SRM and brewery name are required. POST /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/beers.

  • raspberrypints_update_beer

    Update a beer on the brewery's menu. The API requires name, style, ABV, IBU, SRM and brewery name on every update: read the beer first and resend them. PATCH /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/beers/{beerId}.

  • raspberrypints_create_tap

    Add a tap to a taplist. The license tier caps the tap count: at the cap the API returns TAP_LIMIT_EXCEEDED. POST /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps.

  • raspberrypints_tap_beer

    Put a beer on a tap and start a keg session. A tap with an active session returns 409: untap it first. POST /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps/{tapId}/tap.

  • raspberrypints_untap_tap

    Remove the current beer and its session from a tap. POST /partner/breweries/{breweryId}/taps/{tapId}/untap.

Common questions

Is RaspberryPints MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.0) reached the registry today.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

RaspberryPints MCP by usefulapi

Use your RaspberryPints account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read taps, beers and pours, and add beers or put them on tap. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http raspberrypints https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "raspberrypints": { "url": "https://raspberrypints.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your RaspberryPints credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/raspberrypints/

On first connect you provide your brewery ID (shown on the API Keys page) and a Partner API key (admin panel → API Keys, Owner access). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
