Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read documents, signature requests and templates; send, cancel and resend requests in SignRequest.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 14 things (tools) signrequest_list_documents, signrequest_get_document, signrequest_search_documents, signrequest_list_signrequests …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http signrequest https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "signrequest": {
      "url": "https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "signrequest": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Create2https://…3
https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp

Menu names can differ slightly by plan and over time.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • signrequest_list_documents

    List documents of the team with status, signers state and signing log links. API: GET /documents/.

  • signrequest_get_document

    Get one document by uuid: status, signrequest with all signers, signing log, attachments, and temporary download links (pdf). API: GET /documents/{uuid}/.

  • signrequest_search_documents

    Search documents by free text, name, signer email or status. API: GET /documents-search/.

  • signrequest_list_signrequests

    List signature requests (the sent requests with their signers). API: GET /signrequests/.

  • signrequest_get_signrequest

    Get one signature request by uuid, with each signer's viewed, signed, declined and forwarded state. API: GET /signrequests/{uuid}/.

  • signrequest_list_templates

    List document templates (use a template uuid with signrequest_send_document). API: GET /templates/.

  • signrequest_get_template

    Get one template by uuid, with its signer placeholders. API: GET /templates/{uuid}/.

  • signrequest_list_teams

    List the teams the token can see (name, subdomain, sandbox flag). API: GET /teams/.

  • signrequest_get_team

    Get one team by subdomain. API: GET /teams/{subdomain}/.

  • signrequest_list_team_members

    List team members with admin, owner and active flags. API: GET /team-members/.

  • signrequest_list_events

    List document events (sent, viewed, signed, declined, cancelled, bounced) and their callback delivery state. API: GET /events/.

  • signrequest_send_document

    WRITE: creates a document and e-mails a signature request to the signers right away (not undoable except with signrequest_cancel_signrequest). Give exactly one source: a template uuid, a public file_from_url, or base64 file_from_content with file_from_content_name. API: POST /sig

  • signrequest_cancel_signrequest

    WRITE: cancels a signature request that is not fully signed or declined. Signers who have not signed can no longer open the document. Not undoable. API: POST /signrequests/{uuid}/cancel_signrequest/.

  • signrequest_resend_signrequest_email

    WRITE: sends the signature request e-mail again as a reminder to every signer who did not sign yet but already got the e-mail. API: POST /signrequests/{uuid}/resend_signrequest_email/.

Common questions

Is SignRequest MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.2.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

SignRequest MCP by usefulapi

Use your SignRequest account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read documents, signature requests, templates, teams and events, and send, cancel or resend signature requests. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http signrequest https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "signrequest": { "url": "https://signrequest.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your SignRequest credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/signrequest/

On first connect you provide a SignRequest team API token (SignRequest → Team settings → API). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
