Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Read projects, schedules, tasks, timesheets and workload; create tasks and comments in TeamGantt.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 14 things (tools) teamgantt_get_current_user, teamgantt_list_projects, teamgantt_get_project, teamgantt_get_project_schedule …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http teamgantt https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "teamgantt": {
      "url": "https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "teamgantt": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • teamgantt_get_current_user

    Get the signed-in TeamGantt user: name, email, time zone, today's date and the companies (accounts) the user belongs to. Call this first to find company ids. TeamGantt API: GET /current_user.

  • teamgantt_list_projects

    List the projects the user can see, pre-sorted starred first then by name. Default is Active projects, 100 per page. TeamGantt API: GET /projects.

  • teamgantt_get_project

    Get one project: dates, status, chart days, permission, members (accesses) and teams. TeamGantt API: GET /projects/{project_id}.

  • teamgantt_get_project_schedule

    Get the full schedule of a project: groups, subgroups and tasks (with dates, percent complete, assignments). Use is_flat_list for one flat array. TeamGantt API: GET /projects/{project_id}/children.

  • teamgantt_list_groups

    List the groups and subgroups of one or more projects (useful to find a parent_group_id for a new task). TeamGantt API: GET /groups.

  • teamgantt_list_tasks

    List tasks across projects, with filters: project, name search, date range, overdue, unassigned, resource. Active projects by default. To see one person's tasks for a day, pass user_resource_ids and the same start_date and end_date. TeamGantt API: GET /tasks.

  • teamgantt_get_task

    Get one task or milestone: dates, days, percent complete, estimated hours, assigned resources, dependencies and comment counts. TeamGantt API: GET /tasks/{id}.

  • teamgantt_list_comments

    List the comments and notes on a project, a group or a task. TeamGantt API: GET /{target}/{target_id}/comments.

  • teamgantt_list_company_users

    List the users of a company (account): names, emails, roles. Needs account holder or manager access. TeamGantt API: GET /companies/{company_id}/users.

  • teamgantt_list_resources

    List all resources of a company, split by type (company resources, project resources, users). Resources are the labels used to schedule tasks. TeamGantt API: GET /companies/{company_id}/resources/all.

  • teamgantt_get_timesheets

    Get the signed-in user's timesheet: tasks with tracked and estimated hours per day in a date range. TeamGantt API: GET /timesheets.

  • teamgantt_get_workload

    See how busy people or resources are: scheduled work grouped by day, week, month or year. TeamGantt API: GET /workload/{resource_type}.

  • teamgantt_create_task

    WRITE: create a new task or milestone in a project. It changes the customer's schedule and is not repeated automatically. Without parent_group_id the task goes in the last group. TeamGantt API: POST /tasks.

  • teamgantt_create_comment

    WRITE: add a comment or a note to a project, group or task. People who are @mentioned may get an email. It is not repeated automatically. TeamGantt API: POST /{target}/{target_id}/comments.

Common questions

Is TeamGantt MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.2.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

TeamGantt MCP by usefulapi

Use your TeamGantt account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read projects, schedules, tasks, comments, resources, timesheets and workload, and create tasks and comments. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http teamgantt https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "teamgantt": { "url": "https://teamgantt.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your TeamGantt credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/teamgantt/

On first connect you provide the client id, the client secret and the refresh token of your own TeamGantt API app (steps in the login page: TeamGantt has no API key). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
