Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Review staffing, availability and leave; create or update shifts with confirmation.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 17 things (tools) workfeed_list_departments, workfeed_list_roles, workfeed_list_employees, workfeed_get_settings …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http workfeed https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "workfeed": {
      "url": "https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "workfeed": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • workfeed_list_departments

    Department names and IDs. GET /departments. Unpaginated vendor response, bounded to5000rows and2MiB here.

  • workfeed_list_roles

    Roles and their department IDs. GET /roles. Unpaginated vendor response, bounded to5000rows and2MiB here.

  • workfeed_list_employees

    Scheduling/contact fields only; excludes national IDs, banking, tax, emergency contacts, wages, addresses and custom fields. GET /employees. Unpaginated vendor response, bounded to5000rows and2MiB here.

  • workfeed_get_settings

    Pay-period and shift-break settings. GET /settings. Unpaginated vendor response, bounded to5000rows and2MiB here.

  • workfeed_list_salary_supplements

    Read supplement definitions, not flex-hour supplements. Duration days are inclusive in company timezone. GET /salary-supplements. Unpaginated vendor response, bounded to5000rows and2MiB here.

  • workfeed_get_employee

    Read one selected employee. Staff responses exclude payroll identifiers; leave notes are omitted.

  • workfeed_get_shift

    Read one selected shift. Staff responses exclude payroll identifiers; leave notes are omitted.

  • workfeed_get_leave

    Read one selected leave. Staff responses exclude payroll identifiers; leave notes are omitted.

  • workfeed_get_availability

    Read one selected availability. Staff responses exclude payroll identifiers; leave notes are omitted.

  • workfeed_list_shifts

    Read shifts whose start>=startFrom and start<startTo (not overlap). Maximum93days per request here. Optional role and department must agree. No vendor pagination parameter is invented.

  • workfeed_list_leaves

    Read any leave overlapping from/to, including leave beginning before the range. Max93days here. Free-text leave notes omitted. Repeated employeeIDs/typeIDs filters; includeDeleted defaults true upstream.

  • workfeed_list_availabilities

    Read contained records: start>=from AND end<to, max93days here. End exactly at to is excluded; allow an extra second beyond the last desired end. This differs from leave overlap.

  • workfeed_list_department_days

    Read stored daily notes, manual revenue, extra labor and targets; from inclusive/to exclusive company-zone days, max93days here. Array may include null for unstored days. Calculated labor totals use get_department_stats.

  • workfeed_get_department_day

    Read one stored daily record; a successful null means no data is stored for that day.

  • workfeed_get_department_stats

    Calculated per-day laborCost/revenue, with from/to inclusive company-zone days, at most31days. Prefer laborCost here: shift grossPay is0 for monthly-paid staff. laborPercentage null when revenue0 is not0%.

  • workfeed_create_shift

    Create one shift after the user approves its exact staff, role and times. confirm:true is mandatory. released:true publishes it and cannot be undone through this connector. employeeID:null creates an unassigned shift. No automatic retry; inspect before retrying an uncertain outco

  • workfeed_update_shift

    Update one shift after user review; confirm:true required. Pre-reads current shift, optionally rejects stale expectedUpdateTime, and never changes either original UTC calendar day. Vendor additionally enforces company-date rules. Published shifts cannot be unpublished. No deletes

Common questions

Is Workfeed MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.6.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http workfeed https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "workfeed": { "url": "https://workfeed.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Workfeed credentials.
