Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Drive cloud iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku devices to verify app changes.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Other
  • You need to fill in: VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 1 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • You fill in yourself: VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and paste this into claude_desktop_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "vibeview": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "vibeview",
        "mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add vibeview --env VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN=your-value -- npx -y vibeview mcp

Fill in the empty values before running it.

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "vibeview": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "vibeview",
        "mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "vibeview": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "vibeview",
        "mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN": "your-value"
      }
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN secret env
    A VibeView API token (Settings → API tokens). Alternatively run `vibeview login` once; the server reuses the saved login.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Common questions

Is VibeView safe?

It passed 1 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: VIBEVIEW_API_TOKEN

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (0.74.0) reached the registry 2 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Node.js on your computer.

What can I use instead?

VibeView agent skills

Skills and an MCP server that let a coding agent verify its work on a live cloud device: upload a build, start an iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV or Roku session, drive the app by UI-tree refs, read logs, take screenshots, and stop when only a human can act.

VibeView streams iOS simulators, Android emulators, Apple TV and Android TV simulators, and Roku devices to a browser and to agents. No Mac, no local simulator, no device on the desk. Docs: AI agent control.

What your agent can do

  • Check its own change in your React Native app. It starts vibeview dev against your local Metro, so every edit hot-reloads on the cloud device, then it looks at the screen and the logs to see whether the change works.
  • Build the app in the cloud and run that build. React Native, Expo, Flutter, Capacitor, Kotlin Multiplatform or native iOS and Android: with a shell, it runs vibeview build --cloud (no Mac needed for iOS), then starts a device on the finished build.
  • Drive the app like a person. It reads the screen as a UI tree with short refs (@e7), taps, types and swipes by ref, presses TV remote buttons, opens deep links, and takes screenshots.
  • Write and run tests. It saves plain-language steps as a test, then runs one test or a whole group and reads which step failed and why. AI steps are in beta.
  • Hand off to you when a step needs a person, such as a login or a payment, with a link to the live session.

It works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku. You can watch every session live in the dashboard while the agent works.

Install

You need the vibeview CLI, logged in:

npm install -g vibeview

vibeview login

Then pick whichever fits your agent.

Any agent that reads skills (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and others via the skills CLI):

npx skills add vibeview/skills

Claude Code, as a plugin (installs the skill and registers the MCP server in one step):

/plugin marketplace add vibeview/skills

/plugin install vibeview@vibeview

Claude Code, from the CLI you already installed (copies the skill into ~/.claude/skills/ and offers to register the MCP server):

vibeview agent-setup

Any MCP client: run vibeview mcp over stdio.

{

"mcpServers": { "vibeview": { "command": "vibeview", "args": ["mcp"] } } }

With Claude Code specifically: claude mcp add vibeview -- vibeview mcp.

What's here

PathWhat it is
skills/vibeview-agent/SKILL.mdThe agent workflow: build requirements, the dev loop, verifying with ui-tree, screenshots and logs, TV d-pad navigation, the human hand-off rule, cleanup, and the full command reference for both the CLI and MCP.
.claude-plugin/Claude Code plugin manifest: the skill plus the vibeview mcp server.
.mcp.jsonThe same MCP server in the standard root-level form that plugin and MCP directories scan for.

Where this comes from

The canonical copy of the skill ships inside the vibeview npm package (vibeview agent-setup copies it from there). This repository mirrors it so agents and registries can discover it on GitHub. Versions track the CLI.
