Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Wontopos (WOS) long-term memory (beta) - one memory across Claude Code, Cursor, and your agents.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

  • Connection: Runs on your computer
  • Transport: stdio
  • Category: Search & AI memory
  • You need to fill in: WONTOPOS_API_KEY, WONTOPOS_HTTP_TOKEN

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 0 of 1 passed
  • Runs on your computer with your user’s permissions (files, network, apps).
  • You fill in yourself: WONTOPOS_API_KEY, WONTOPOS_USER_ID, WONTOPOS_MODEL, WONTOPOS_VERIFY, WONTOPOS_MAX_IMAGES, WONTOPOS_BASE_URL, WONTOPOS_TIMEOUT_MS, WONTOPOS_READ_ONLY, WONTOPOS_ALLOW_STORE_OVERRIDE, WONTOPOS_HTTP_PORT, WONTOPOS_HTTP_TOKEN, WONTOPOS_HTTP_HOST, WONTOPOS_HTTP_ALLOWED_HOSTS

Values marked secret are keys to your account. Never share them or paste them into a chat.

You need

  • npmNode.js installed (for the npx command)

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

This one runs on your computer, and ChatGPT can only connect to servers on the internet. Pick another app.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

Values you fill in

  • WONTOPOS_API_KEY secret required env
Wontopos API key (wos-live-...). Create one in the console at wontopos.com.
  • WONTOPOS_USER_ID env
Default store for every tool call (default: "default").
  • WONTOPOS_MODEL env
Engine to read with: tablet-2 (default — same token price as tablet-1, and the one that serves photos and re-ask), tablet-1, scroll-1, scroll-1.2, or scroll-2.
  • WONTOPOS_VERIFY env
Default re-ask passes for search, 0-3 (default 0). Each pass is another engine call and is billed for what it delivers; the agent can raise it per call.
  • WONTOPOS_MAX_IMAGES env
Default photo results per search, 0-5 (default 0). Zero because these rows ride on every search; the view_image tool fetches the one picture that is wanted.
  • WONTOPOS_BASE_URL env
A different API host. Leave unset for the default.
  • WONTOPOS_TIMEOUT_MS env
Per-request timeout in ms (default 20000). A stalled API then fails in-band instead of hanging the host.
  • WONTOPOS_READ_ONLY env
Set to 1 for read-only mode: only the tools that read are registered, no write or delete tools.
  • WONTOPOS_ALLOW_STORE_OVERRIDE env
Set to 1 to let tools take a user_id argument (multi-store). Default: every call is pinned to WONTOPOS_USER_ID.
  • WONTOPOS_HTTP_PORT env
Serve over HTTP on this port instead of stdio, for hosts that cannot spawn a local process. Requires WONTOPOS_HTTP_TOKEN.
  • WONTOPOS_HTTP_TOKEN secret env
Bearer token every HTTP request must carry. Required whenever WONTOPOS_HTTP_PORT is set.
  • WONTOPOS_HTTP_HOST env
Interface to bind in HTTP mode. Default 127.0.0.1 (this machine only).
  • WONTOPOS_HTTP_ALLOWED_HOSTS env
Comma-separated Host header values to accept in HTTP mode, for a tunnel that forwards its own public name. Loopback and the bind address are always accepted; anything else is refused 403.

Common questions

Is Wontopos MCP safe?

It passed 0 of 1 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

You need to fill in: WONTOPOS_API_KEY, WONTOPOS_HTTP_TOKEN

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs on your computer. Your AI app starts it when needed, and data does not pass through the maker’s servers (unless it calls an online service itself).

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.0.27) reached the registry 2 days ago.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. You also need Node.js on your computer.
