Was er kann

Tool-Namen und -Beschreibungen genau so, wie der Server sie am 6. Nov. 2026 gemeldet hat. Geschrieben hat sie der Entwickler, nicht wir; wir zeigen sie als reinen Text.

  • upload_media_widget

OPENS A FILE PICKER IN THIS CONVERSATION: the user chooses videos or photos from their computer and they land on their aicut account for every tool. CALL IT IMMEDIATELY, WITHOUT ASKING ANYTHING FIRST, the moment the user refers to a video or image file on their machine ('upscale

  • upload_media

Puts a VIDEO OR IMAGE FILE FROM THE USER'S OWN MACHINE onto their aicut account so the generation tools can use it (every other tool takes a URL). It returns an upload target in two forms, a ready-to-run `curl_template` for you and a `browser_upload_url` for the user; then you ca

  • list_uploads

Recent uploads (app and MCP), last used first: `url`, `kind`, size. Free. WHEN: the user answered after `upload_media_widget`, or means an earlier upload. A `link` (TikTok post): `import_link` it.

  • show_uploads

  • generate_image

Generates an AI image on the signed-in aicut account and puts the aicut card in front of the user. It waits for the image server-side for as long as one request safely can (about 24 seconds), so it usually returns the finished image with its `url` directly. WHEN: the user asks fo

  • generate_audio

Starts an audio generation on the signed-in aicut account (speech, music, a song with vocals or a sound effect, chosen by `model`) and returns its job id at once; it does NOT wait for the audio. WHEN: the user asks for one of those. Call `list_models` with `type: "audio"` first:

  • get_audio

One audio job's current state: a SINGLE, IMMEDIATE read that waits for nothing. WHEN: only for one job's raw fields now (cost, refund, why it failed). It is not how you wait (`wait_for_generation` is) or show a clip (`generate_audio` already opened the card; `show_generation` bri

  • wait_for_generation

Waits up to 15 seconds for an aicut generation to reach a terminal state, WITHOUT opening a card, and returns the compact status. SEVERAL ITEMS: quote each, ask once with the total, start them all (images with `wait: false`, distinct `idempotency_key`s or none), then make ONE cal

  • analyze_video

Starts an AI analysis of an existing video and returns the new analysis's id immediately (it does NOT wait). It reads the video and describes it in detail (what happens, who is in it, the on-screen text, the pacing and cuts) as free-form text, plus the platform's own metadata (ti

  • image_to_prompt

Returns `prompt`: a text prompt that would generate an image like the given one (the web app's "copy prompt from image"); pass it to `generate_image`. Takes an image url, an `upload_media` url or a generated image's url; another account's aicut image is rejected. Spends NO tokens

  • get_analysis

Returns the current state of one video analysis on the signed-in account, and its result once finished. WHEN: after `analyze_video`; poll every 5-10 seconds until `status` is `succeeded` or `failed`. While it is not terminal the response carries `poll_after_seconds`: wait that lo

  • list_series

Lists aicut's AI Video Story series (niches): episodic short-video formats that generate a whole multi-scene episode from one idea. BROWSING IS `browse_series`' JOB: when the USER is choosing a series ('what series do you have'), call `browse_series` FIRST (a series is chosen BY

  • list_series_ideas

Returns ONE series' CURATED preset ideas (the authored cards the webapp shows on its idea step). Free, instant, creates nothing. THIS IS NOT THE DEFAULT WAY TO GET AN IDEA: invent three of your own, one line each, and sharpen them with the user in chat; call this only when the us

  • list_niches

Lists aicut's trend-template niches: one-shot video formats made from a few answers, each at one price. AI Video Story series are `list_series`, not these. WITHOUT `slug`: the cards. Shortlist 3-5 that fit, saying what each makes and what it is NOT for; never dump the list. WITH

  • preview_niche_script

Writes the scenes of a `plan_required` niche for the user to read before the paid run (`generate_from_niche` with its `plan_id`). FREE: no go needed. Start with `slug`, `revision`, `values` (and `duration_seconds` if asked); it waits about 20 s; then follow its `next_step`. The f

  • generate_from_niche

Runs ONE niche on the signed-in account and returns the new job's id at once; it does NOT wait for the video. WHEN: the user wants a format `list_niches` lists; read that niche in full first. A `plan_required` niche runs from a ready `preview_niche_script`: send its `plan_id`, no

  • browse_studio_styles

Card: the Explainer Studio styles as a grid of reels playing in place. WHEN: the user wants a video in a trending look and named no style. Say one line and stop; never list them. A pick arrives as their message (the slug); a later pick wins outright. No card (terminal): `list_stu

  • sandbox_exec

Bash in the user's aicut sandbox, NOT your machine: ffmpeg, faster-whisper, Remotion 4, curl, internet. Commands run in /home/user and time out after `timeout_seconds` (default 60, max 120; over 95 s: in the background); files persist, processes stop when idle; `sandbox_created:

  • reserve_studio_run

The deposit `sandbox_exec` draws on: 10 tokens a minute of length x episodes, the unused part refunded. Flow: `get_recipe` `explainer-studio`. SPENDS TOKENS: price with `estimate_only: true`, state the price in the same message as your ask, wait for a go naming THIS purchase (SPE

  • get_recreate_brief

For making a NEW, original video in a trend's format, never a copy of it, its script or its characters: returns ONE trend video's public row, the NICHE it belongs to (the published cluster, with the premise a human wrote), a written `brief` you can hand to a create call as its id

  • generate_cast

Writes the CAST for an AI Video Story series (named characters, each with a role and a one-line description) as a DRAFT for the user to read. FREE: it spends no tokens, generates no portraits and saves nothing to the character library. WHEN: as soon as the episode idea is settled

  • generate_cast_portraits

BUYS the portraits for a cast draft: one image generation per member that still needs a face, at the chosen image model's rate, then saves every member to the user's character library. The cast's paid step (the webapp's 'Generate cast' button). WHEN: the user has READ the draft f

  • regenerate_cast_portrait

Redraws ONE cast member's portrait (the same character, a new image) and attaches it to that member: ONE image generation, not a new cast. WHEN: the user dislikes a member's face, or a portrait FAILED (the story create refuses a cast with a failed portrait and names this). `chara

  • describe_cast_member

CHANGES ONE cast member into a different character: you pass a new one-line visual description, aicut rewrites the member's stored look from it and draws ONE new portrait (the rest of the roster is untouched). It is the tool for 'make the husband smaller and a white strawberry':

  • generate_story_video

Starts an AI Video Story EPISODE (stage 1 of 3): the engine writes the multi-scene episode from your idea, draws the OPENING PICTURE OF EVERY SCENE, and PARKS for the user to look at them before any video generates. Returns immediately. Say 'the opening picture of each scene' to

  • regenerate_story_frame

Redraws ONE scene's opening picture of an episode parked at frames review (`story.stage: "frames_review"`), from the scene's own text, cast and continuity references. There is no prompt argument. WHEN: the user dislikes THE PICTURE itself (hands, framing, a face that came out wro

  • change_story_scene

CHANGES WHAT HAPPENS IN ONE SCENE of an episode parked at frames review and redraws its opening picture from the change. You pass a PLAIN SENTENCE ('the kid should look super sad', 'move it outside at night'); aicut rewrites that scene's setting / people / action text from it and

  • remove_story_scene

REMOVES one scene from an AI Video Story episode parked at frames review. The scene's VIDEO is never generated or charged, so the fire quote and charge drop by exactly that scene's price. Free: it spends nothing (the scene's start frame was already charged at create and is not gi

  • fire_story_video

FIRES a parked AI Video Story episode (stage 2 of 3): generates every kept scene's VIDEO from its reviewed picture. The paid step after review; nothing renders yet. WHEN: `story.stage` is `frames_review`, the user has looked at the pictures and any redraws are done; cut scenes fi

  • render_story_video

RENDERS an AI Video Story episode into its final delivered file (stage 3 of 3), after the scene videos are done. It is composed SERVER-side from the stored episode (scenes, captions, music, title card, watermark policy); you pass only the episode id. WHEN: `get_video` shows `succ

  • generate_fake_text_video

CREATES a fake-text video: a phone chat conversation that types itself out over a gameplay or green-screen background, every line read aloud in the voice you pick for that side. YOU WRITE THE SCRIPT: there is no writer behind this endpoint, and the `messages` array you send IS th

aicut MCP server

Generate AI story episodes, videos, images and audio straight from Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok or any MCP client - no API key, no dashboard round-trip.

  • Server URL: https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration + PKCE. You sign in with your normal aicut account and approve once.
  • Setup page: https://www.aicut.pro/mcp

This repository is the public metadata for the hosted server: there is nothing to install and nothing to run locally.

Install

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http aicut https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp

Then run /mcp, pick aicut, choose Authenticate, and approve in the browser tab that opens.

Claude (web and desktop)

Settings -> Customize -> Connectors -> Add -> Add custom connector, name it aicut, paste https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp, hit Connect and approve.

ChatGPT

Settings -> Security and login -> Advanced security -> switch on Developer mode. Then open Plugins in the sidebar, hit +, name it aicut, paste https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp, leave Authentication on OAuth, tick the box and Create. Choose Sign in with aicut and approve.

Cursor

Customize -> MCPs -> New MCP Server, name it aicut, paste https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp. Cursor lists it under Needs attention: hit Authenticate and approve. (Or use the one-click Add to Cursor button on https://www.aicut.pro/mcp.)

Grok

grok.com/connectors -> New Connector -> Custom, name it aicut, paste https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp. The aicut sign-in opens: approve it. Custom connectors come with Grok's Business and Enterprise plans.

Any other MCP client

Point it at https://mcp.aicut.pro/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Clients that implement the MCP OAuth flow register themselves; clients with no browser can use an aicut API key as a bearer token instead (keys are issued by hand - email support@aicut.pro).

Tools

69 tools, plus 18 MCP prompts (step-by-step recipes; get_recipe serves the same text to clients that do not show prompts, and the spending rules in full, which the server instructions say to read before the first priced ask). Any argument a tool does not declare is refused with an error that names it, rather than silently dropped. Read tools are annotated readOnlyHint; the tools that spend carry destructiveHint and idempotentHint: false, so a client asks before spending. Every generate_* tool takes estimate_only: true to price a request without creating anything - and on audio that is the only reliable quote, because audio models publish a per-character or per-second RATE rather than a price table. Generations spend tokens from the connected aicut account at the same prices as the app, and land in that account's library.

Catalog and account
ToolWhat it does
list_modelsThe curated video, image and audio catalog with the exact cost of every settings combination. Call this first - model ids and their accepted values cannot be guessed. Searchable and paged.
get_balanceTokens left on the account, and its plan tier.
list_voicesThe whole voice catalogue - ElevenLabs (stock, plus this account's cloned and custom voices) and OpenAI in one shape, each with a verdict on what it can be used for. Paged.
list_charactersThe account's uploaded characters and generated story cast members, in one list.
list_seriesThe AI Video Story catalog: which series (niches) an episode can be made in, with their episode-length ladder, model defaults and prices.
list_series_ideasOne series' curated episode ideas.
get_recipeA step-by-step recipe for a flow, read before its first call: a first video, image or audio, an AI Video Story episode, a fake-text, image story or explainer script, a niche run, a talking avatar, motion control; and the spending rules in full, read before the first priced ask.
browse_seriesPuts the series catalog on screen as a grid of covers whose demo clips play in place, on clients that render cards. Tapping selects, one Confirm writes the pick.
Video, image and audio
ToolWhat it does
generate_videoStarts a video generation. Asynchronous: returns a job id.
get_videoOne video by id, with its status and finished url.
list_videosThe account's recent videos, paginated.
delete_videoDeletes one of the caller's own videos. No refund.
generate_imageGenerates an image, and usually returns it finished in the same call.
get_imageOne image by id.
list_imagesRecent images, paginated.
generate_audioSpeech, music or a sound effect, chosen by model.
get_audioOne audio job by id.
list_audioRecent audio, paginated.
wait_for_generationThe long poll: waits server-side and answers whether a job is terminal.
show_generationReplays an earlier generation the user asks to see again.
Transforms - working from media you already have

What the server measures IS the price: a clip's length, a picture's dimensions, an audio's length. Media the server cannot measure is refused before anything is charged rather than charged and then failed.

ToolWhat it does
upscale_video2x or 4x an existing video.
upscale_imageMore pixels in an existing image, from three upscalers: a general-purpose one, one that goes to 10x and is priced per output megapixel, and a creative one that repaints detail as it enlarges. Priced from the picture's measured dimensions.
extend_videoContinues an existing video by a chosen number of seconds.
reshot_videoA 4-30 second clip plus reference pictures, remade either as an object swap (one subject or object replaced, everything else kept) or as a motion transfer (the reference subject performs the clip's moves).
