Overview

Description from the maker (original English)

Manage Memberful members, subscriptions, plans, passes and coupons via the GraphQL API.

PopNx MCP’s three pillars

These three are never merged into one score: opinions, measurements and popularity are different things.

What you can do with it

We have not written a plain-language summary for this one yet. Below are the facts we read from the registry.

Install

Pick the AI app you use, then copy the settings.

Before you install

  • Basic checks: 3 of 3 passed
  • Runs on the maker’s server: what you ask it goes through their server.
  • Can do 12 things (tools) memberful_get_member, memberful_list_members, memberful_get_subscription, memberful_list_subscriptions …
  • The registry lists no key to fill in.

You need

Which app do you use?

Pick your app above. We remember it, so next time the button says “Install in …”.

Works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors
  2. Press Add custom connector
  3. Paste the address below and press Add
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Add2https://…3
https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp

Run this in your terminal

claude mcp add --transport http memberful https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp

Open in Cursor

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "memberful": {
      "url": "https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

Open in VS Code

Or copy the settings yourself

Paste into .vscode/mcp.json in your project

{
  "servers": {
    "memberful": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Your browser asks to open the app, then the app shows the settings and asks you to confirm. Key values are left empty for you to fill in.

ChatGPT connects only to servers on the internet:

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web → Settings → Connectors (Apps)
  2. Press Create or Add (some plans need Developer mode under Advanced first)
  3. Paste the address below, give it a name and save
  4. If it asks you to sign in, sign in with the maker
SettingsConnectors1+ Create2https://…3
https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp

Menu names can differ slightly by plan and over time.

Your choice stays on this device in a cookie; no account needed.

These settings are generated from the maker’s registry entry. If the README says otherwise, follow the README.

What it can do

Tool names and descriptions exactly as the server reported them on Nov 6, 2026. The maker wrote them, not us; we show them as plain text.

  • memberful_get_member

    Fetch one Memberful member by id: profile, Stripe customer id, unrestricted-access flag, total spend, metadata, address, and their subscriptions (each with plan). Memberful GraphQL: member(id).

  • memberful_list_members

    List members (Relay connection): each edge has a cursor + node (profile, Stripe customer id, unrestricted-access flag, total spend, and their subscriptions). Paginate with `first` + `after` (pass the last edge's `cursor`); `first` defaults to 50. Set `activeOnly` to return only m

  • memberful_get_subscription

    Fetch one subscription by id: status, activated/expires/trial timestamps, plan, member, orders, coupon. Memberful GraphQL: subscription(id).

  • memberful_list_subscriptions

    List subscriptions (Relay connection): each edge has a cursor + node (status, expires/created timestamps, plan, member). Paginate with `first` + `after` (pass the last edge's `cursor`); `first` defaults to 50. NOTE: this uses the top-level `subscriptions` connection, which is sou

  • memberful_list_plans

    List all plans (Memberful dashboard 'Prices'): name, interval, price (cents), for-sale flag, plan group. Memberful GraphQL: plans.

  • memberful_list_passes

    List all passes (Memberful dashboard 'Plans' — the access groups a member subscribes to): id, name. Memberful GraphQL: passes.

  • memberful_query

    Escape hatch: run an arbitrary Memberful GraphQL QUERY (read-only) against your account's /api/graphql endpoint with optional variables. Mutations are REJECTED — use the dedicated write tools or memberful_graphql for those. Useful for fields not covered by the curated read tools

  • memberful_create_member

    MUTATES Memberful data: create a new member with an email (and optional full name). Memberful GraphQL: memberCreate(email, fullName).

  • memberful_update_member

    MUTATES Memberful data: update a member's metadata (a JSON string; max 50 keys, 40-char keys, 500-char values). Only metadata is supported here; for other inline member fields use memberful_graphql. Memberful GraphQL: memberUpdate(id, metadata).

  • memberful_change_subscription_expiration

    MUTATES Memberful data: change WHEN a subscription expires (extend or shorten access). expiresAt is a Unix timestamp in SECONDS (Int). Memberful GraphQL: subscriptionChangeExpirationTime(id, expiresAt).

  • memberful_create_coupons

    MUTATES Memberful data: create one or more coupon codes for a discount. Provide the discount id (discountId) and the coupon code strings. Memberful GraphQL: createCoupons(discountId, coupons).

  • memberful_graphql

    MUTATES Memberful data (potentially): escape hatch to run an arbitrary Memberful GraphQL operation — including any mutation — against your account's /api/graphql endpoint with optional variables. Prefer memberful_query for read-only calls.

Common questions

Is Memberful MCP by usefulapi safe?

It passed 3 of 3 applicable basic checks. We have not read the code. Before adding a key or token, see what access the server asks for and use a key with only the permissions you need.

What keys or codes does it need?

The registry does not list a required key, though some servers ask you to sign in on first use.

Does it run on my computer or in the cloud?

It runs in the maker’s cloud. Connect over the internet with nothing to install, but what you send passes through the maker’s servers.

Is it still maintained?

The GitHub repo last changed –, and the latest version (1.36.3) reached the registry yesterday.

Which apps can use it?

Apps that support MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. It connects by URL, so apps that accept remote MCP servers work too, such as ChatGPT in developer mode.

What can I use instead?

Memberful MCP by usefulapi

Manage your Memberful memberships from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read and manage members, subscriptions, plans, passes and coupons over the Memberful GraphQL API.

Live endpoint: https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/memberful

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http memberful https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
{

"mcpServers": { "memberful": { "url": "https://memberful.usefulapi.io/mcp" } } }

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Memberful credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/memberful/

On first connect you'll paste your Memberful API key — create one in the Memberful dashboard under Settings → Custom applications. It's sent as a Bearer token to your account's GraphQL endpoint.
