  Compile and inspect the current authored email without saving a change. Return structural checks and a bounded source excerpt.

• export_email

  Create an actual short-lived download of the specified current notification as Shopify Liquid or preview HTML. This does not install or send it.

• export_theme

  Create an actual ZIP download containing the current theme notification templates, required image copies and installation instructions.

• get_change_history

  Read bounded, scoped change summaries for the specified theme. Unrelated theme content and history are excluded.

• create_custom_theme

  Create a new theme with the header and essential native Shopify blocks for each notification. Optional blocks can be added back. Use list_blocks to review the notification checklist.

• copy_theme

  Create an owned copy of a public theme example or an existing theme in the authorized workspace, with the supplied name.

• rename_theme

  Rename the specified owned theme. Its immutable ID and authored content remain the same.

• archive_theme

  Archive the specified theme without permanently deleting it. It can be restored.

• restore_theme

  Restore an archived theme in the authorized scope.

• set_workspace_active_theme

  Set which owned theme is active in the authorized workspace.

• set_brand_details

  Update one validated brand profile field shared by the workspace themes.

• copy_brand_settings

  Copy supported branding from one authorized owned theme to another authorized theme.

• set_email_item_layout

  Configure a notification’s checked order-item cards, static products, scalar product title binding, columns and mobile stacking. Omit binding to restore the original theme layout. Does not change Shopify or confirm installation.

• set_brand_logo

  Use an uploaded Shopemail image or an image in the merchant-confirmed Shopify Files folder as the theme’s email header logo. Pass null to restore the theme header.

• set_theme_font

  Use a hosted WOFF2 file in the confirmed Shopify Files folder across this theme. Email clients can use the existing font stacks as fallbacks. Pass null to remove the custom font.

• set_checklist_item

  Mark a block as required for one email, or remove an additional requirement. Built-in essential requirements are retained. Use list_blocks to see missing, hidden and conditional checklist items.

• set_brand_color

  Set a named light or dark color role in the specified theme.

• set_brand_typography

  Set a supported typography value in the specified theme.

• set_brand_shape

  Set a supported shape value such as corner radius in the specified theme.

• set_theme_token

  Set a supported, validated light appearance token in the specified theme.

• set_dark_theme_token

  Set a supported, validated dark appearance token in the specified theme.

• set_theme_layout

  Set a layout option supported by this theme structure.

• set_shared_setting

  Update one validated workspace setting used by its email themes. Merchant-only external URL confirmations remain separate.

• set_theme_setting

  Update one supported email setting in the specified theme.

• set_section_visibility

  Set the supported visibility state of a native email section.

• set_section_lock

  Lock or unlock a native section before a supported removal or visibility change.

• remove_section

  Remove an unlocked native section from an email. Validation reports essential information affected by the change.

• restore_section

  Restore a previously removed native section in an email.

• set_email_copy
